M10 Wolverine Tank Destroyer M7 3-inch (76.2mm) anti-tank gun was a considerable improvement over the 75mm carried by the Sherman. The M10’s relatively thin 37mm of armour (and open-topped five-sided welded turret) on the other hand made it vulnerable to anti-tank weapons, so its main role became defensive, often firing from concealed positions.

The M10 was also widely used by the British, who called it the Wolverine. As such this plastic set comes complete with choice of US or British crew plus extensive decal sheets to gear up your tank hunters for action!

The M113 C&V (Commando & Verkenning) used by the Dutch reconnaissance troops has the same origins as the Canadian Lynx. However, in the 1970s M113 C&V had its machine-gun cupola replaced with a Oerlikon-Bührle GBD-ADA turret fitted with a 25mm KBA cannon. The 25mm cannon allows them to suppress an enemy position before making their escape.

Conceived to replace the M3/M5 Stuart light tanks, the M24 Chaffee fought in US service during the later years of WWII and on into the Korean War. The Chaffee also served with British and Russian forces during the Second World War. Reliable, armed with a 75mm gun and with a good off-road performance, the M24 was popular with its crews.

This great value Bolt Action boxed set features one of the most iconic pieces of hardware in US military history, over 40,000 M3 half-tracks were produced during World War II with many thousands of similar models also being supplied to their allies. The M3A1 was ideally suited to rushing troops to the front and through gaps in the enemy lines. With a top speed of 45 mph, and armoured enough to keep out most small arms fire, they performed admirably in this role. They had a crew of three men and could carry ten fully equipped troops. There were many variations on the chassis including tank destroyers, mortar carriers and ambulances, but most frequent by far were the M3A1 with its armament of a heavy .50 cal heavy machine gun and two or more .30 cal machine guns.

The Sherman Tank was the main stay of the American army. The Break out from the Normandy beaches and the bocage could never been achieved without the armoured support. Although they had their weaknesses their impressive adaptability, firepower and large production numbers enabled the Allies to over power the Germans.

The M551 Sheridan Armored Reconnaissance/Airborne Assault Vehicle, or ARAAV, is fitted with the M81 dual-purpose gun/missile launcher. It can fire conventional HEAT antitank ammunition for shorter range targets, or the MGM51 Shillelagh (pronounced shil-laylee) anti-tank guided missile, which was more effective at longer ranges.
In 1978 most Sheridans were phased out of service. However, the 82nd Airborne Division decided to keep the air transportable Sheridan airborne assault vehicle. These were upgraded with improved suspension.

Introduction

Game Air is a range of water-based, matte acrylic colors, developed especially for airbrushing. The very latest formulation of this range uses new resins that have been selected for qualities which up till now could not be achieved in water based colors. The strength, resistance and covering power of Game Air is superior to any acrylic airbrush colour currently available.  Game Air is also ideal for application by brush to highlight the smallest detail on a miniature. The pigments have been selected according to their degree of light fastness and optimum micronisation. The effects of washes and transparencies can be obtained by diluting the colors and all the colours and varnishes can be mixed together and diluted with airbrush thinner.

Game Air Colours

The colours in the Game Air range have been selected to appeal to modelers and wargamers who use the existing Game Color range, so are ideal for all fantasy modelling. The names and shades of the most popular colors of Game Color have been retained in Game Air, but using the finer formulation and resins employed for Model Air (see Equivalency Table). In the color chart we include a diagram of the most frequent colour combinations: base color, light and shadow.

Surfaces

Game Air has exceptional performance on all materials. The adhesion of the colours on resin, plastic, steel and white metal is extraordinary. Moreover the surfaces do not require previous priming. Only in the case of a very dark base may it be useful to first apply a primer in order to increase the brightness of the final colors.

How to Use

Shake well before using. Pour the paint directly into the airbrush, either undiluted or previously diluted with Thinner (71.261). Colors can be mixed in the cup of the airbrush. Game Air dries almost instantly on the model and permits immediate application of aging processes as well as the use of washes, pigments, and dry-brush techniques.
