Germany's armed forces in World War II were arguably the best-trained, equipped and motivated of all the major powers – understandably so in a nation geared to rearmament and aggression to its neighbours. Within these powerful forces emerged another force, the Waffen-SS, who were formed initially as armed bodyguards to Adolf Hitler himself, but later became a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield.
Tough, often lavishly equipped and politically indoctrinated, SS troops formed over 38 divisions and numerous other regimental and battalion-sized units, totaling nearly a million men under arms. Their armoured units won many plaudits for their actions, and although relationships between regular army units and the Waffen SS were sometimes strained, most SS units fought courageously, sometimes ferociously, against great odds until the wars end in Berlin, 1945. There are many examples of SS troops fighting well and within the bounds of what we can call 'civilised war', but too many incidents of brutality occured for most people's tastes. This version features a three man team with a tripod mounted MG42 in position and ready to fire and is manned by Waffen-SS soldiers. |

Always at the forefront of the fighting, the Waffen-SS were well-equipped, even as the supply of new materials and weapons became more of an issue for the Third Reich as Allied bombing campaigns pummelled German industry. Armed with the best weaponry the Wehrmacht could field, the Waffen-SS fought with discipline and tenacity although they had little choice as they knew the enemy would give no quarter to their hated foe – SS troops being dealt with brutally, if captured. Although the winter conditions are synonymous with the Ostfront, the operations in the Ardennes and Italy also saw troops in dire need of cold weather gear – the Italian winter in 1944 was the coldest for 150 years... These figures are shown wearing a mix of the wool-lined M40 and fur-lined M43 parkas issued to Waffen-SS troops – the latter being available in grey, tan or Italian camouflage pattern. This box set contains a 10-man Waffen-SS squad of which separates into: NCO and 1 man with assault rifle 2-man LMG team 4 men with rifle (2 with panzerfaust) 2 men with assault rifle & panzerfaust Models supplied unassembled and unpainted |

German scientists had been working on rocketry for all manner of purposes in the years leading up to the war. When the Germans crashed over the border into Russia in 1942 they had a secret weapon, with the cover name of Nebelwerfer or "Fog thrower". This was a multi-barreled, electrically-fired rocket launcher that sent its payload of heavy rockets thousands of yards out to engulf enemy positions... With a fearsome flash of flame and the howling of a banshee wail they caused terror when used in large numbers; bringing down a barrage on an area less accurately than artillery but with awesome psychological effect that could sap the will of a defender. This SS Nebelwerfer team are shown readying their weapon; one paying out more cable, one fetching up new rockets and the third eager to press the fire trigger, fire each barrel and then move out to a new fire position before the fiery trails betray their position. This set features the Warlord Games Figure Head System. This allows you to choose which heads to attach to your models allowing amazing variety and poseability. This set contains a metal Nebelwerfer with three SS Crewmen. |
The 7.5 cm PaK 40 (7.5 cm Panzerabwehrkanone 40) was a German 7.5 centimetre anti-tank gun developed in 1939-1941 by Rheinmetall and used during the Second World War. PaK 40 formed the backbone of German anti-tank guns for the latter part of World War II, and was used in most war theatres. |
The standard German medium mortar of the war was the 81mm Granatwerfer 34. It was a very effective and accurate weapon that could provide long-range fire support, and was used throughout the conflict on most theatres. |
The Goliath was used by the German engineer units in a variety of roles. It was essentially a radio controlled tracked bomb, carrying a big charge of high explosives direct to where it was needed, commonly a pillbox, minefield or disabled enemy tank. The controller steered the robot tank by using a wire connected to a simple control box. The Goliath was fairly successful and used on many fronts and, though slow and vulnerable to small arms fire, would be a frightening sight as it waddled towards you with its deadly payload! Contents: 1 Goliath Demolition Vehicle 3 metal Combat Engineers |
The SS panzer divisions were all-arms forces, with an armoured group of tanks and armoured infantry mounted in halftracks, infantry groups fighting on foot, and a reconnaissance group of armoured cars and panzergrenadiers in light halftracks that was often used as the divisional reserve. German Waffen-SS Panther Kampfgruppe includes: • Five Panther (7.5cm) tanks • Two Tiger (8.8cm) tanks • One SS Panzergrenadier Platoon • Two Puma (5cm) Armoured Cars • Six Sd Kfz 250 (MG) Half-tracks • Two 8.8cm Guns • Complete A5 Flames Of War rulebook • One Waffen-SS "Start Here" Guide • Two Decal Sheets • Ten Unit cards. The Askurgan Trueblades are an order of vampiric warrior-monks who seek to master their bloody curse. Dedicated to self-discipline and martial excellence, these Soulblight vampires seek out the mightiest beasts across the realms to test their skills and slake their thirst – for Askurgans disdain the blood of lesser victims, even starving themselves to the point of savage madness. This multipart plastic kit builds a full warband of Askurgan Trueblades, for use in games of Warcry. Headed by a proud Askurgan Exemplar, these vampire monks wear only light armour over their flowing robes, bound by heavy ropes around the waist. These models can also be used as part of a Soulblight Gravelords army in games of Warhammer Age of Sigmar. This set contains eight plastic miniatures: - 1x Askurgan Exemplar - 1x Curseblood - 1x Askurgan Pariah - 2x Askurgan Ascetics, each of which can be armed with a howling glaive or charnel mace - 3x Askurgan Acolytes, each of which can be armed with a bonehilt falchion or throat-taker sickle This set also includes: - An Askurgan Trueblades abilities card, to help unleash this warband's arrogant strength and disciplined tactics in games of Warcry (in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Chinese, and Japanese) - 7x Askurgan Trueblades fighter cards, for referencing your rules and stats at a glance - 2x wound divider cards, for tracking your fighters in battle This kit comprises 74 plastic components, and comes with 1x Citadel 40mm Round Base, 4x Citadel 32mm Round Bases, and 3x Citadel 28mm Round Bases.
