Kroot Flesh Shapers are masters of their kindred's genetic development, guiding hunting packs to the finest specimens in order to devour and claim their strength for the Kroot. These revered gene-shamans employ gruesome talismans and ritualised butchery to take the art of consumption to sacred and visceral extremes, with immediate and striking psychosomatic effects on their fellow Kroot.

Kroot Lone-spears are grizzled mercenaries who range far ahead of their kindreds, or solitary wanderers who prefer the wilds and the company of beasts to their fellow Kroot. Mounted upon colour-shifting Kalamandras, they make for effective long-range scouts – and when armed with suitably potent weapons, Lone-spears excel in picking off valuable enemy targets or even eliminating armoured vehicles.

Kroot War Shapers are experienced battle leaders, responsible for both the composition and disposition of Kroot hunting packs in the field. They are also exemplary warriors in their own right, striding into battle armed with traditional weaponry that is no less deadly for its symbolic, antiquated natures. Under a War Shaper’s merciless gaze, prey quail while the kindred find renewed strength.

Krootox Riders are living gun platforms, loaded with armaments that would be far too bulky for light-footed Kroot infantry. Though the Krootox are not naturally aggressive, these powerful beasts regard their fellow Kroot as packmates, and will lash out with fearsome strength to defend their kin. Guided by gunners who sway atop their steeds in sturdy harnesses, they lumber into battle to provide mobile fire support for aggressive hunting packs.

The Warhammer 40,000 Dark Eldar Talos Pain Engines are seen as the pinnacle of the Haemonculi's art. Creations of mad genius, each one is part organic and part mechanical, festooned with surgical apparatus and horrible-looking weapons of war. The bladed forelimbs of a Talos can scissor even an Ogryn into bloody chunks, while whirling blades and drills can eviscerate a man in seconds, disassembling him into his component parts, rending him down until nothing is left. For nearby Dark Eldar this is like watching an artist at work. For nearby foes it is a horrifying, gut-wrenching sight that can turn even the bravest warrior into a quivering wreck. The Warhammer 40,000 Dark Eldar Cronos Parasite Engine is a disturbing, bizarre creation and is used, much like the Talos, as a torture device and war machine. Through the strange blend of alchemy and science practiced by the Haemonculi covens, the Cronos drains away not the physical constituents of its victims, but their life essence. What remains of its prey when the vile creature has drunk its fill is little more than a grey shrivelled husk that quickly collapses into dust. An Archon will often keep a Cronos in his employ for when realspace raids take longer than expected as their mere presence can drive the Warhammer 40,000 Dark Eldar into a murderous frenzy that few defenders can hope to stop.

This multi-part plastic kit contains 89 components with which to make one Drukhari Talos Pain Engine or one Cronos Parasite Engine. The box includes all manner of features: chain-flails, ichor injectors, a liquefier gun and many syringes, as well as several variant heads and arms. It is a remarkably macabre addition to any Drukhari collection.

Tamiya 1/35 British 25 pounder & Quad Tractor

This is a completely new model of the fearsome German tank destroyer Jagdpanzer IV Lang. It is designed from the ground up to be part of the long catalog of models offered in the Tamiya 1/35 scale line up of model kits. The original Jagdpanzer IV tank destroyer was based upon the Panzer IV vehicle and used extensive sloped armor with the 48-caliber 7.5cm gun that had already proven its worth on other vehicles. In January 1944, it was decided to upgrade the Jagdpanzer IV, with the powerful 70-caliber 7.5cm anti-tank gun installed in place of the original 48-caliber weapon. This bigger gun was fitted to the Jadgpanzer IV with the intention of giving it the ability to destroy Allied tanks without even entering their weapons range. It was also the origin of the name Lang, which translates into English as "long". The (V) was applied to vehicles manufactured by the German company Vomag. 930 Jagdpanzer IV /70(V) Lang vehicles were manufactured between August 1944 and March 1945, with German forces taking advantage of the exceptional range of the gun, employing it in both defensive and ambush roles even as their military situation worsened. December 2014 marks 70 years since the Battle of the Bulge, which was effectively the final German offensive of WWII. This model is perfect and right on time to liven up late Second World War dioramas.
