The Idoneth Deepkin of the Ionrach Enclave visited the living mountain known as Beastgrave many times over the centuries, claiming countless souls from the Silent People. The celebrated Isharann Soulrender Elathain was tasked with leading his own foray, but his failure damned him, along with his companions – the soul-bound thrall Tammael, the bond-beasts Duinclaw and Spinefin, and his sworn Ishlaen escort, Fuirann. The Daihatsu-class landing craft was a 14-meter long troop transport constructed of metal and powered by a diesel engine. Potentially armed with weapons up to 37mm in size, it was quite seaworthy and could travel at 8 knots for 50 miles carrying 1 type 95 tank or 70 men. |
Just as Nazi Germany had to reach for desperate solutions toward war’s end, Japan followed their air force in developing a Kamikaze or suicide weapon that might just turn the tide of the battle. These were the Shin’yo (Seaquake) speedboats. Over 6,000 were built after 1943. A one-man power boat with a speed of 30 knots and a massive 700-pound explosive charge, they were to be run at enemy vessels and if a hit scored it would be deadly. The army also built tiny speedboats, the 2-man Maruni which carried two depth charges as its main weapon. Mainly used in the Philippines, they were organized into sea raiding regiments, 1, 2, 3, 26, 27, 28 & 29, with 100 boats in each regiment. They fought bravely in numerous actions but were mostly sunk by aircraft, destroyers, and PT boats. As they were manned they could even turn around and do a second run if they missed their target and had the option of abandoning the craft if possible, rather than suffer certain self-immolation. Fortunately for the Allies, the vast majority of the boats were not in the front line but held back in Japan for the proposed final battles. They did cause some severe damage to US destroyers, particularly the large landing craft, several of which were sunk. Contains: 6x metal Shin’yo 6x metal Maruni Ship cards Wake markers |
The T-14 was the most numerous of the three torpedo boats used by the Imperial Japanese Navy. Despite this, they were still few in number compared to the Allied MTBs. It could carry two torpedoes, one 25mm gun, depth charges and could make 33 knots. Contains: 4x metal T-14 class MTBs Ship cards Wake markers |

Illuminor Szeras labours to unravel the mysteries of life, for he fears that he would be a poor sort of god without the secrets of life at his fingertips. Szeras has been on the brink of understanding for many centuries, yet somehow final comprehension always escapes him. Though this is his obsession, his aptitude for augmenting the weaponry and even the mechanical bodies of his fellow Necrons is peerless. On occasion, Szeras' talents are in such demand that he can name his own price – invariably a harvesting raid targeted against a world of his choosing. Above all, Szeras cherishes Aeldari subjects, as they inevitably produce more intriguing results than any other of the galaxy's creatures. Once seized, his specimens can look forward only to a pain-filled, though not necessarily brief, existence in the bloodstained laboratory catacombs of Zantragora. Illuminor Szeras is a powerful HQ choice for the Necrons army, able to mechanically augment his warriors to new heights of battlefield potency. He wields an eldritch lance – an ancient and terrible weapon that can be used to smite foes from afar or strike them down in combat. This pack is supplied as 34 plastic components and comes with a Citadel 80mm Round Base. The updated Warhammer 40,000 datasheet for Illuminor Szeras is included in the box. |

As regal as its name suggests, the Imperatus was engineered to be without peer. The myrmidon wields a pair of blazing thermal blades to deadly effect, annihilating foes in a flurry of fiery impacts. At a distance it musters energy from its field to empower the Halation cannon, a weapon that can direct a concentrated burst of superheated energy with pinpoint accuracy. Its most astonishing feature is the Phoenix Protocol, a failsafe system that can rapidly restore the Imperatus to full fighting force.

Introduction Game Air is a range of water-based, matte acrylic colors, developed especially for airbrushing. The very latest formulation of this range uses new resins that have been selected for qualities which up till now could not be achieved in water based colors. The strength, resistance and covering power of Game Air is superior to any acrylic airbrush colour currently available. Game Air is also ideal for application by brush to highlight the smallest detail on a miniature. The pigments have been selected according to their degree of light fastness and optimum micronisation. The effects of washes and transparencies can be obtained by diluting the colors and all the colours and varnishes can be mixed together and diluted with airbrush thinner. Game Air Colours The colours in the Game Air range have been selected to appeal to modelers and wargamers who use the existing Game Color range, so are ideal for all fantasy modelling. The names and shades of the most popular colors of Game Color have been retained in Game Air, but using the finer formulation and resins employed for Model Air (see Equivalency Table). In the color chart we include a diagram of the most frequent colour combinations: base color, light and shadow. Surfaces Game Air has exceptional performance on all materials. The adhesion of the colours on resin, plastic, steel and white metal is extraordinary. Moreover the surfaces do not require previous priming. Only in the case of a very dark base may it be useful to first apply a primer in order to increase the brightness of the final colors. How to Use Shake well before using. Pour the paint directly into the airbrush, either undiluted or previously diluted with Thinner (71.261). Colors can be mixed in the cup of the airbrush. Game Air dries almost instantly on the model and permits immediate application of aging processes as well as the use of washes, pigments, and dry-brush techniques. |

Designed to recreate actual battles, In Deo Veritas focuses on the command decisions needed to maintain the motivation of the army. The six actual battle scenarios provide a range of different challenges from the warfare of the seventeenth century. Battles are played at the brigade level with all major elements are on 75mm/3" wide bases. Using smaller scale figures (6-15mm) lets players give their units a realistic feel. The ground scale of 1" = 40yds means the typical 6ft x 4 ft table is large enough to accommodate most battles of the period. Most players will already have everything needed to play (d6, tape measure and a deck of cards). To learn the rules will take 2 hours or so using some of the smaller battles. Once you have become familiar with the core elements then your games will flow more quickly and a larger battle such as Wittstock should last for 3-4 hours depending on the arrival of the reinforcements. The rules contain 6 scenarios. Nothing is certain; but generals that hone their skills are more likely to be victorious. "In these, the twilight years of the nineteenth century, I amazed at how high mankind has soared, and at how deep it has fallen, because of the myriad advances in our sciences and in engineering. Seldom does a day go by without a gentleman announcing his newest life-changing invention, each claiming it will benefit mankind in some way. “It is a pity that we, the leaders of the civilised nations of the Earth, could not have put these marvels to better use. May God have mercy on us all." Robert Delamere, Lord Conway and Prime Minister 1893-95. It is 1895 and the world is in turmoil. In the decades to come historians will reflect upon the cause of this state of affairs and many will point at Charles Babbage. His perfection of his Difference Engine and then his Analytical Engine gave the new scientific establishments in the great imperial nations the tool they had so long needed in order to make a great leap forward. The ability to make huge and repeatable sets of complex calculations revolutionized the world. Within twenty years we had the perfection of miniaturized steam engines, electric light and motors, Radium Bricks, Arc weapons, Hydrogen and latterly Helium Dirigibles, Road Trains, Calculating Artillery Engines, Sea and Land Dreadnoughts and, well, the list is almost endless. Nothing is impossible when the wealth of a great nation is coupled to the unlimited imagination of educated men of science and their engineers. The one thing that all these marvellous advances has not brought is peace. Every Great Power has been jostling its neighbours for resources and more importantly, the latest technology. None can afford to stand still and allow its neighbours to advance their science and engineering unmolested. If they do they risk being overwhelmed as the French were in 1861 by the Prussians with the first Mobile Calculating Artillery Engines, or the Northern Americans in the year after that, as their ports were put to the flame and successfully blockaded by the South's Armoured Sea Dreadnoughts. Some nations have also been tapping into spiritual and psychic powers as well, in order to produce an unholy combination of the mystical and the mechanical, such as the ghastly Prussian Tod-truppen. Although there have been relatively few open conflicts between the Great Powers, there is a state of undeclared and secret war between them all. This is where the Adventuring Companies come in. These are the deniable clandestine agents of the Great Powers (and of other globe-spanning organizations). They act in the shadows pitting their skills, their wits and the newest technologies against each other to obtain the latest scientific formula, artefact or other vital component. Small groups of highly skilled and specialized operatives are brought together for each mission under the command of a trusted 'Captain'. In Great Britain they work directly for Her Majesty’s Government or out of the Explorer's Club in London’s Pall Mall. In Prussia their patron is the highly secretive Thule Society, and in the USA they are mostly sponsored by the Secret Service. There are similar organizations in each of the Great Powers. They all have the choice of their nation's latest arms, armour and other equipment with which to perform their missions. The game of In Her Majesty’s Name pits these small Adventuring Companies against each other in skirmish battles which may be single encounters or part of longer narrative campaigns. The rules are quick to learn but have sufficient depth to give a satisfying evening’s entertainment. |
This is the third supplement for In Her Majesty's Name, the Steampunk skirmish game published by Osprey games Within these pages, you shall find new weapons and equipment, talents and powers, and creatures both normal and supernatural. As well as a host of new companies to fight or, bring on, the darkness that threatens to engulf the Old World. You will meet old enemies such as Vlad Tepes, Prince of Wallachia, and his nemesis Abraham van Helsing. Play the brave men of the Imperial Nightwatch as they test their modern might against the terrifying vampire minions of the immortal Countess Bathory. Rouse the Village mob to drive out Baron Viktor von Frankenstein and his abominations. Tread the corridors of power as a member of the Illuminati or, join the Gypsies to hunt Werewolves under the full moon. Witness Sampson Caine and the Nuns of the Order of the Bringer of Salvation defend the innocent from the predations of the Dread Monks of Sucevita. Unleash the Unborn upon the terrible White Slavers. You can also upgrade and test your existing IHMN companies against these many terrors. New scenarios and landscapes will take your companies into dark forests, mist shrouded castles, ancient ruins, pagan altars and grim, fortified villages the length and breadth of Transylvania, Wallachia and the ever-forbidding Carpathian Mountains. This is classic Victorian Gothic Horror at its grisly, horripilating best. It is not recommended for ladies and gentlemen of a nervous disposition, for the darkness will feed upon their terror. |
