For two thousand years; from 3000 BC to 1000 BC, warriors fought battles with weapons of bronze. This gleaming red-gold metal is an alloy of copper and tin. The warrior nobles rode into battle in chariots and were clad in bronze armour. Their followers gripped bronze thrusting spears, battle-axes and slashing swords. Battle was a dazzling sight as weapons and armour glinted in the sun amid the clash of bronze against bronze and the clatter of charging chariots. This was the heroic age of legend! When the sand and rubble is cleared away from the mighty ruins of the temples, tombs and strongholds of this time; the tales of these battles are revealed inscribed in stone and on the imperishable tablets of baked clay. Around the ancient carvings of the warriors, which inspire the model soldiers depicted in this book, are the reports of their deeds on the battlefield. From what they tell us we can recreate battles for our model armies. In this book you will find many battle scenarios and skirmishes all based on real events. We begin with the Sumerians, rival city states. Then we see the rise and fall of the first great empire of the Akkadians. Ancient Egyptians fight to unite their nation and repel Hyksos invaders. The mighty Hammurabi takes on rivals to create the kingdom of Babylon. The chariot Empires of the Hittites and Mitanni clash and try and hold their own against the New Kingdom Pharaohs and the Mycenaeans. Egyptian and Canaanite chariots battle on the plain of Megiddo. Heroes fight duels upon the plain of Troy. Then Sea Peoples and Habiru tribes challenge the chariot lords as we approach the dramatic end of Bronze Age. Age of Bronze contains 32 scenarios - in addition to the traditional Hail Caesar massed battles we introduce skirmish rules for smaller scale conflicts between warbands so often seen during this period.

Akhelian Guard Idoneth Deepkin is a multi-part plastic kit contains the components necessary to assemble an Akhelian Allopex. A large, fierce-looking bond-beast with a shark-like silhouette, its fins are modified with sharp blades and its head and eyes covered with metal armour, to facilitate its control by its riders. 2 Akhelian Guard mount the beast – the foremost clutches the reins in his left hand, with a barbed blade (or optional barbed hook) in his right ready to cut down any nearby enemy who survives the attentions of the Allopex’s ferocious bite. Behind him stands a Guard manning the razorshell harpoon launcher atop a specially-built platform – this can optionally be built as a retarius net launcher, both options equally devastating and featuring a cache of harpoons behind the weapon. The pilot features a helmet with no crest – allowing the harpoon launcher a clear shot – and the gunner, almost seeming to make up for this, features a particularly large crest; both feature the heavy plate and bare arms that typify the Akhelian Guard. You have the option to model the Allopex with mouth closed or open, and a selection of accessories – fishing net, rope and grapple hook, fiasco bottles, normal bottles and bottle and case – used to decorate the creature and base. This kit comes as 47 components, and is supplied with a Citadel 90mm Oval base & flying stand.
Akhelian Guard Idoneth Deepkin is a multi-part plastic kit contains the components necessary to assemble 3 Ishlaen Guard. Each is mounted on a Fangmora Eel, a lithe, sinuous bond-beast controlled by the armoured blinders and reins attached to their heads, attacking with their fanged maws and lashing tails. The Akhelians who ride them wear heavy armour chest plates, with their arms bare and their legs covered in mail and cloth for mobility. They wield helsabres – vicious-looking serrated swords – and galv-shields, and feature bladed crests on their sinister closed-face helmets – there is an extra, specific helmet included for the leader, a Lochian Prince, with a specifically-shaped blade. There are options for a musician, who carries a conch shell and has an open faceplate; and a standard bearer, whose Fangmora Eel is equipped with a towering pennant. The kit comes with plenty of accessories used to decorate the Eels and the bases – nets, ropes, bottles and lamps are included. This kit comes as 80 components, and is supplied with 3 Citadel 60x35mm Oval bases. The kit can optionally be used to assemble 3 Akhelian Morrsarr Guard.
Thrallmasters are cunning and sea-scarred Akhelians who lead the Namarti hosts into battle. Master duellists skilled with all manner of esoteric weapons and accompanied by a vicious snapjaw eel, they mow down their foes with contemptuous ease. Often exiles from Idoneth society, the Akhelians revel in proving their worth by leading Namarti serfs to victory. This multipart plastic kit builds one Akhelian Thrallmaster, a flexible support Hero for Idoneth Deepkin. Clad in the roguish, flowing outfit of a noble exile, this well-traveled noble is bristling with exotic weaponry and accompanied by a snapjaw eel companion. In battle, the Akhelian Thrallmaster is an excellent choice to lead a small force of Namarti Thralls and Reavers, or support them on the front lines in a larger army. The Thrallmaster can swap between fighting stances, each of which offers them – and nearby Namarti units – different abilities, allowing them to adapt to the shifting tides of war. This kit is comprised of 11 plastic components, and is supplied with 1x Citadel 32mm Round Base. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel paints.

Introduction Game Air is a range of water-based, matte acrylic colors, developed especially for airbrushing. The very latest formulation of this range uses new resins that have been selected for qualities which up till now could not be achieved in water based colors. The strength, resistance and covering power of Game Air is superior to any acrylic airbrush colour currently available. Game Air is also ideal for application by brush to highlight the smallest detail on a miniature. The pigments have been selected according to their degree of light fastness and optimum micronisation. The effects of washes and transparencies can be obtained by diluting the colors and all the colours and varnishes can be mixed together and diluted with airbrush thinner. Game Air Colours The colours in the Game Air range have been selected to appeal to modelers and wargamers who use the existing Game Color range, so are ideal for all fantasy modelling. The names and shades of the most popular colors of Game Color have been retained in Game Air, but using the finer formulation and resins employed for Model Air (see Equivalency Table). In the color chart we include a diagram of the most frequent colour combinations: base color, light and shadow. Surfaces Game Air has exceptional performance on all materials. The adhesion of the colours on resin, plastic, steel and white metal is extraordinary. Moreover the surfaces do not require previous priming. Only in the case of a very dark base may it be useful to first apply a primer in order to increase the brightness of the final colors. How to Use Shake well before using. Pour the paint directly into the airbrush, either undiluted or previously diluted with Thinner (71.261). Colors can be mixed in the cup of the airbrush. Game Air dries almost instantly on the model and permits immediate application of aging processes as well as the use of washes, pigments, and dry-brush techniques.

New York - 1776, General Washington has been preparing his defences since April. After leading British troops to victory in the Battle of Bunker Hill, General William Howe took command of all British forces in America. General Howe plans an attack with a precision hitherto unknown in British operations in north America. His reinvigorated army sets sail from Halifax, arriving at new York in late June and capturing Staten Island on 2nd July. These troops are bolstered in August, first by the return of Clinton’s flotilla from Charleston and later by the arrival from England of a 150-ship fleet carrying reinforcements including the Foot Guards and numerous regiments raised from the German Principalities, who will become ever-known as “Hessians”. With an army now substantially outnumbering the defenders, Howe orders the first units to be landed on Long Island on 22nd August. Within three days there are 20,000 British and allied troops on Long Island, divided into two wings. Half of the force will engage the rebels frontally with feint attacks, while the other half swings far around the rebel left flank. The fighting results in overwhelming defeat for the rebels, but Howe stops short of finishing off the defenders, believing them trapped..... This affords great manoeuvrability and enables it to operate within changing pressures as it swoops overhead to drop payloads of ground-penetrating, tectomagnic bombs, designed to cause seismic shock waves among the enemy ranks. The Archaeopter Fusilave is armed with no fewer than four cognis heavy stubbers as well as a bomb rack of tectomagnic munitions which it can drop on enemy ground forces from above. Archaeopter Fusilaves are great options for countering enemy assaults, blunting their advances with bombing runs that are equally destructive and disruptive. This kit can alternatively be used to build an Archaeopter Transvector or Archaeopter Stratoraptor instead, meaning that regardless of which unit you assemble, you'll end up with plenty of spare components for customising your collection. This kit is supplied in 94 plastic components and is supplied with a Citadel 170mm x 109mm Oval Base and a Citadel 115mm Ball Stem with Tang Adapter.
The TWO THIN COATS paint range features primary and secondary colours, as well as flesh tones, natural tones, metallic’s, and washes. All of the paints are designed around a triad system that consists of a shadow, a mid-tone, and a highlight, yet all can be used individually to create whatever result you desire. TWO THIN COATS paints will stand out due to their flow, how well they can be thinned (of course), the depth of their colour, and their most unique feature, how smooth they are when applying and particularly how smooth the finish is on the end result. 15ml paint in dropper bottle with paint agitator (mixing ball).
Spoken of in fearful whispers by warlords and kings, Archaon is the shadow of Chaos falling upon the Mortal Realms. Greatest of the Dark Gods’ champions, the Exalted Grand Marshal of the Apocalypse, he is the Everchosen - the doom of all. Uniting the armies of Chaos with his fist of iron, wielding the legendary daemon sword the Slayer of Kings and mounted upon the terrifying, three-headed beast Dorghar, he rides out to meet the forces of Order that seek to loosen the grip of Chaos. Archaon - the Three-Eyed King, the World Razor, the Thirsting Predator - will see to it that Sigmar’s heroes fail in their quest, and that the united hosts of Chaos will unmake the Mortal Realms in their terrible, howling glory. This kit contains all the components necessary to make one absolutely staggering, enormous, intimidating Archaon, the Everchosen. Covered in the gifts of the Dark Gods, he bears the Armour of Morkar, featuring numerous Chaos markings, inscribed with runes of warding and malice. His shield displays the symbols of the Dark Gods, and he clutches the Slayer of Kings. His vast winged mount, Dorghar, has undergone countless horrific mutations as he consumed souls from the carcasses of Archaon’s bested foes - huge wings, the faces of unfortunate Stormcast Eternals whose souls he has consumed embedded within his skin, three daemonic heads and twin tails. Eighty-five components in total are included, with a gigantic Citadel 160mm Round base.
