The earth trembles as the beastherds approach. Plants wither and rot, animals are filled with an instinctual fear and the air grows thick with the taint of raw Chaos energy. Then the bloodthirsty braying begins. The Beasts of Chaos emerge from woodland knots and rocky outcrops, bellowing their savage battle cries as they fall upon their prey. They are the true children of Chaos, and through them anarchy and ruin are spread across the lands of the civilised races. In the 104-page hardback Battletome: Beasts of Chaos, you’ll find: - From the Wilderness They Come: an introduction to the Beasts of Chaos, savage and twisted creatures that spread anarchy throughout the Mortal Realms; - Primaeval Origins: the Beasts of Chaos pre-date even the earliest records by any scribe, and the oral traditions describing them have long faded into memory – but legends persist, and are presented here; - The True Children of Chaos: Beasts of Chaos’ inherent ferocity is not a gift bestowed by the Dark Gods, and nor is it due to enslavement – they embody Chaos in its purest and most anarchic form; - The Way of the Beast: while the Beasts of Chaos are as varied as the wildlands in which they gather, certain traits – violence, mercilessness and predation – are common to all; - Detailed explanations of the Greatfrays and beastherds of this faction, their motivations and (known) histories; - Annals of Entropy: a chronicle of the recorded events in which the full savagery and fury of the Beasts of Chaos was unleashed; - Gathering of the Greatfrays: explanation of the organisation of the Beasts of Chaos armies, including an example of how a particular beastherd is organised, along with descriptions of 7 legendary Greatfrays (Allherd, Darkwalkers, Gavespawn, Skullfrays, Twistfrays, Rotfrays and Slakefrays), including their heraldry and colour schemes - Explanation and background of each character and unit available to a Beasts of Chaos army; - A showcase of beautifully-painted Citadel miniatures, with an example army and comprehensive painting advice from the experts. In the merciless society of the Beasts of Chaos, only the mightiest rise to power. These are the Beastlords – hulking killers who command through intimidation and brutality, and delight in sinking their man-ripper axes into the skulls of their foes. The largest and most feared of their kind, Beastlords rule over their herds with an iron hoof, leading raids to plunder and destroy civilisation wherever it encroaches on their wild territories. This multipart plastic kit builds a Beastlord, a fearsome chieftain of the gor-kin. Armed with a pair of man-ripper axes – just as good for ripping through orruks, aelves, and any other heroes unlucky enough to get in his way – this savage war-leader is decorated with grisly trophies claimed from his rivals. Furred, horned, and musclebound, he's posed in a bellowing call to battle, extolling the pure savagery and might of the Beasts of Chaos. This kit comprises 7 plastic components, and is supplied with a Citadel 40mm Round Base. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints. |
Big Meks are chief engineers and inventors, taking to the battlefield with frighteningly powerful contraptions to protect allies and destroy enemies. Their innate genetic knowledge is crucial to the Orks' ways of war – while none fully understand how their technology works, their propensity for wild-eyed experimentation invariably produces devastating results. Carrying a ramshackle kustom force field generator of their own design into battle, these Big Meks form a locus of protective energy around which other Ork units can group. The powerful field can repel even the most devastating enemy attacks (when it works), allowing the Boyz to charge across fire-swept battlefields in relative safety. When not protecting hordes of fellow greenskins, Big Meks attend to damaged vehicles and send them back into battle patched with all manner of nearby scrap. This kit comprises 4 resin components with which you can assemble one Big Mek With Kustom Force Field and is supplied with 1x 40mm round slotta base. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly – we recommend using Citadel paints. |
Biologus Putrifier Death Guard is a multi-part plastic kit containing the components necessary to assemble one model. He’s clad in the usual corrupted, rusting armour of the Death Guard, with plenty of the Nurgle symbolism and sinister emerging tentacles you’d expect (as well as burn marks and melting panels, possibly due to the caustic potions he experiments with) – but the standout feature is the enormous rack of blight grenades that hangs from his back, covered in a dozen or more plague-filled explosive containers ripe for the picking. He wields an injector pistol, which he is posed in the act of reloading with a vial of some unpleasant concoction; a tentacle also grips a plague knife. Even the breathing apparatus on his helmet features a proboscis-like extrusion – all the better for sensing the results of his experiments. This Warhammer 40,000 kit comes as 10 components, and is supplied with a Citadel 40mm Round base. |
A master of gene-manipulation and bio-alchemy, the Biophagus is responsible for industrialising the process of indoctrination and infection. They concoct devious new contaminants that infect their victims with xenos genetics, morphing their body and mind, and rendering them susceptible to the sinister influence of the cult. A Patriarch may grant the Biophagus a Familiar, a scuttling assistant that sneaks into safeguarded facilities to disperse chemical agents into watersumps or air filtration bellows. As well as providing considerable buffs to a nearby Genestealer Cults Aberrant unit, the Biophagus is a formidable melee fighter in its own right, making great use of his lethal injector goad. His Alchemicus Familiar can also assist him as he seeks to improve the fighting prowess of his mutated brethren, helping to make the hulking Aberrants in your army even more dangerous. The Biophagus is a multipart plastic miniature armed with a holstered autopistol and an injector goad, and is accompanied by an Alchemicus Familiar. The set contains 10 parts and is supplied with two 25mm round bases. |
The Black Coaches is a multi-part plastic kit containg the components necessary to assemble a Black Coach. Constructed from heavy wooden panels with rivets straining against the ethereal power within, this is a funerary carriage whose drapes are tied back, making a grisly casket within visible; this houses a bound vampire, who can be seen should you choose to model the casket with its lid off. The wheels are wrought from ornate iron – 2 small wheels at the front, 2 larger wheels at the back – with skulls and hourglasses representing death dotted symbolically around. 3 Relic Bearers are careening alongside the Coach, carrying a sword, book and goblet, the personal effects of the vampire being transported. A Cairn Wraith is driving the Coach forward, who can be modelled wearing either a hood or a crown – he can carry a soulreach grasp, a reaper scythe or be modelled with empty, gesturing hands. 4 Nightmares pull the Coach, borne aloft on wisps of ethereal energy – the 2 front Nightmares wear enormous spiked funeral crests. This kit comes as 58 components, and is supplied with a Citadel 170mm Oval base. |

Black Templar Castellans function as Lieutenants for this esoteric successor Chapter. Acting as the right hand of their Marshal, they help direct their battle-brothers in war. Based on an iconic piece of Black Templars artwork by John Blanche, this Castellan brings the firepower-enhancing effects of a lieutenant to the battlefield in a unique style. Covered with effigies of skulls, wielding a combi-flamer and master-crafted power axe, this distinctive miniature is the perfect way to add some retro flavour to your Black Templars force. Leading their Black Templars brethren from the front lines, Marshals exemplify the strength and skill of the warriors under their command. They are paragons of strategic genius with centuries of battlefield experience, and their great deeds are often rewarded with ancient artefacts drawn from the Chapter's vaults. Whereas Codex-compliant Chapters take to the battlefields under the command of Captains, the Black Templars are lead by the fearsome Marshals, whose commanding presence enhances the abilities of the Space Marines who fight alongside them. Armed with a choice of a power sword or power axe and a plasma pistol or auto-flamer, this mighty warrior is an ideal HQ choice. You can also choose between two heads for this marshal – both are unhelmeted, one wearing a rebreather while the other wears a circlet crown. The kit is comprised of 23 plastic components, with which you can assemble one Black Templar Marshal, and is supplied with one Citadel 40mm round base. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel paints. |
Every Sword Brother has earned their place among the Marshal's household through acts of unswerving faith and spectacular violence. On the battlefield, they are a reaping whirlwind, unstoppable, uncompromising, armed with a lethal assortment of powered blades and thundering pistols that they turn upon the enemy in the Emperor's name. These veteran warriors battle with a mix of melee and ranged weapons. They are lead by a Castellan who can be equipped with a master-crafted power sword or Astartes chainsword in their right hand and a heavy bolt pistol, auto-plasma, or skull relic in their left. The four remaining Sword Brethren can be constructed with a mix of weapons, including a heavy bolt pistol, pyre pistol, plasma pistol, Astartes chainswords, power swords, power maul, power axe, a set of paired lightning claws, or a thunder hammer. Moving like a ghostly cyclone, the creatures known as Bladegheist Revenants spin in a frenetic fashion. They are souls taken from those who met particularly tormenting ends – those sealed in spike-riddled encasements, choked beneath water or buried alive. Their last living thoughts were a frenzy of desperation, a last flurry of defiance in an attempt to break free. Thanks to Nagash’s terrible curse, that horrible ending moment has been preserved forever in the Bladegheist Revenants. This multi-part plastic kit contains the components necessary to assemble 10 Bladegheist Revenants. Eternally tormented spirits, they are clad in tattered cloaks which fade away into ethereal elements, appropriate to the panicked, frantic fighting style they exemplify. Each is posed swooping and jinking unpredictably; the chains that bind them to Shyish are swinging wildly about their forms. Within the cloaks, metallic face masks peer out – there are 10 of these included, each a different design, which can be modelled on any cloak assembly you desire. There are 10 tomb greatblades included, each of which is slightly different. This kit comes as 43 components, and is supplied with 10 32mm Round bases. |
Wherever Khorne's followers do battle they raise up Skull Altars – dread monuments from which to offer tribute to the Blood God and receive his blessings in return. Rising from the ground, the Skull Altar is formed out of the violent tributes heaped in offering for Khorne’s Throne. Available at no matched play points cost to any Khorne army, the Skull Altar is a terrain piece that makes your Slaughterpriests even more powerful. When near it, they’ll be able to re-roll their crucial prayer and judgement rolls, allowing you to unleash your favourite Judgements of Khorne or get off key bonuses without a hitch. Meanwhile, nearby Wizards will find it harder to cast spells – Khorne has no time for those who would rely on sorcery to win their battles! This set builds one Skull Altar. Once complete, you'll have enough room on top to mount a Khorne Hero of your choice. Covered in baroque and grisly detail, it’s a great centrepiece to your Khorne collection and incredibly useful in game. This set is supplied in 21 plastic components. |
Looming over his Bloodbound brethren, his face locked into a permanent rictus of raging hatred, the Slaughterpriest is literally swollen with the force of Chaos. Demagogues capable of boiling enemies alive with a roared prayer, their booming chants fill everything around them with mindless rage, causing them to disregard any concept of self-preservation and fling themselves into battle with mindless fury. Slaughterpriests are notorious for gaining their hideous power by drinking the blood of the fallen foe; this grisly tribute to Khorne causes their limbs to stretch and bones to harden, turning them into brutes rightly feared across the realms. This multi-part plastic kit gives you everything necessary to build one Slaughterpriest, one of the most dedicated and deranged disciples of the Blood God. A single-pose miniature bristling with broken metal restraints embedded in his flesh, he features a huge, protruding bone mutation along his spine and over his shoulders. Armed with a bloodbathed axe, he comes as ten components and includes a Citadel 40mm Round base. |
Realmgore Ritualists curse both the enemies of Khorne and the land itself. These bloody-handed mystagogues lay blasphemous hexes upon the foe to sap their strength, and carve bleeding runes into the very earth, invoking gorey miracles and auras of rage that drive their allies to commit relentless acts of sacred violence. This multipart plastic kit builds a Realmgore Ritualist, a Khornate priest devoted to sanctifying the land in blood. Clad in a skull-mask and grisly ritual garb, this sinister priest wields a ritual dagger seemingly carved from bone – equally useful for enacting blood rites and stabbing foes in the heart. They're posed stepping up to a dais scattered with sacrificial remains and dark runic scratchings, skull-topped staff reaching into the skies. This kit comprises 10 plastic components and comes with a Citadel 32mm Round Base. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints. |

A warrior and an artist of great renown, Dominion Zephon's exemplary record was abruptly cut short when he was maimed by a xenos blade during the Great Crusade. No longer able to fight, Zephon solemnly accepted the dubious honour of representing the Blood Angels Legion as part of the Crusader Host on Terra. When the Horus Heresy broke out, Zephon was recruited by the Legio Custodes to fight in the Webway War, where he earned the friendship of famed technoarchaeologist Arkhan Land. His crippled body rebuilt at last, the Bringer of Sorrow, as Zephon has come to be known, eagerly rejoined the ranks of his Legion upon their return to Terra. Released as part of the Black Library Celebration 2022, Dominion Zephon leaps into battle with the aid of bionics designed by Arkhan Land, his jump pack and armour resplendent in Blood Angels motifs.
