  • Firefly Airborne Infantry

Drop into hell on Earth - and come out the other side!

American advancements in repulsorlift Rift-tech have allowed a man to soar through the air in great bounds, or drop from an aircraft and control his descent safely. Using this technology, US Airborne paratroopers have been reborn as the Fireflies! These elite troops are used where surgical precision and lightning speed are called for, dropping behind enemy lines or as the vanguard of American assaults. Only the bravest and fittest men pass Firefly training, and their missions are some of the most hazardous imaginable.

This plastic boxed set gives you 18 multi-part US Fireflies, equipped with a range of weapons including M1X Thompson Rift SMGs, lethal flamethrowers, and anti-tank rocket launchers. Packed with extra components, including alternate heads, extra equipment, and a choice of flying or ‘grounded’ legs, this kit offers incredible poseability and almost endless modelling options. The detail on these models is staggering, allowing you to go all-out with your painting and create a unit that looks truly impressive on the tabletop.

On the Konflikt '47 tabletop, Fireflies are some of the best Specialist Infantry available to an American player. With superb tactical mobility, courtesy of their Regroup in Hell! Rift ability, and armed with their signature M1X Thompsons, they can get in, hit hard, and get out again. Just make sure to keep these unarmoured troops away from anti-infantry weapons!

  • Hornet Medium Walker

The Guardian light walker had originally proved adequate in supporting the infantry in urban environments and difficult terrain, but it began to struggle as Axis anti-walker techniques improved. Although impressed by the capabilities of the new US Kodiak close assault walker the Commonwealth decided to instead field one of its own modern designs in this role. When the Hornet was unveiled for the first time, it was immediately apparent that the design owed much to the US Grizzly sharing an almost identical chassis. The Hornet is considerably larger and better armoured than the Guardian, and much like the Kodiak it mounts an array of weaponry.

Its quad-HMGs and heavy automatic cannon are more than capable of suppressing dug-in infantry and vehicles. Its utility arms can clear obstacles, build improvised defences and rip apart light vehicles. As it lacks dedicated anti-armour capability, Hornet formations usually include a Percival to deal with armoured threats.

  • Inago Medium Walker

The deployment of USMC Grizzly medium walkers to the Pacific posed a serious tactical problem for the Japanese. Developing a similar medium walker to counter it entirely from scratch would be too time-consuming. Again, the Imperial leadership turned to their (then) Axis allies who offered to export a limited number of the Pz.Kpfg. VII Heuschrecke stripped of its gravitic jump assist modules. On inspection of the first units to arrive in Japan the Imperial military discovered that the missing weight of the modules actually benefited the walker’s speed and agility, making it ideal for both general combat and reconnaissance duties. Recently, Japanese reverse-engineering of Axis-supplied components has allowed a fully Imperial-built version of the Locust, the ‘Inago’, to be produced in the Home islands.

  • K47 - Automated Infantry platoon

The humble British infantryman is being increasingly supplanted by the Automated Infantrymen. These stolid, code-driven mechanical soldiers can be slow to adapt on the battlefield, but are utterly implacable in advance and resolute in defence.

As the war drags on, the boffins at Bletchley park are churning out ever more sophisticated designs, capable of executing increasingly complex battlefield orders, and wielding equally more complex and heavier weapons, turning the tide against Axis horrors. Such is the rate of advancement of automated research that dedicated automated platoons are now being deployed to the battlefields, devoid of any human presence, and able to carry out prescribed orders entirely independently.

This boxed set contains the following:

1x plastic Mk II C Automated Director
10x plastic Mk I Automated Infantry
2x plastic Mk II Heavy Automated Infantry

  • K47 - B for Bertie British Automated Infantry Hero

Built at the English Electric Works in Preston, ‘B for Bertie’ came off the production line just like any other Mk I automaton. However, it was during its initial deployment as part of Operation Cavalier, near Antwerp, Belgium, that it could be said that Bertie was born.

On 9 June 1946, a contingent of Axis heavy Panzermechs ambushed Bertie's formation. In the chaos of battle; Bertie was lost to sight from its human charges. When the ambush had been repelled, after significant losses, and the Axis forces melted away, so too had Bertie disappeared. The unit was presumed KIA, but this was not so.

Low on power, Bertie had sluggishly dragged itself back to the battlefield, but its detachment had long since moved on. Rather than simply wither away patiently, its primitive automated system adapted, and Bertie became something other than a simple factory-made automaton. Looting the battlefield of fallen automatons, it replaced its defunct leg, collected power cells, took ammo and weapons, and set off on a new odyssey.

  • K47 - Mk II Heavy Automated Infantry Squad

A new iteration of automated infantry now supports the more numerous, and vastly cheaper to produce, Mk Is. By necessity larger in order to house more sophisticated computational systems, they are also rendered capable of carrying far heavier armaments, such as specially designed automatic cannons. Capable of acting with more autonomy than the earlier designs, they have a limited operational independence. With their embedded short-range radio device, they are also able to transmit their computational data to other automatons within a limited range. Efforts were quickly made to upgrade the Mk I design with receivers. By staying within close proximity the MK IIs can relay their own calculations to the Mk Is, and thus improve their accuracy and ability to execute more complex commands.

Box contains three Warlord Resin Mk II Heavy Automated Infantry (two armed with Light Automatic Cannons and one with a heavy Automatic Cannon), plastic bases, and assembly guide.

  • K47 - M5A2(T) Stuart Light Tank

  • K47 - M9A2 Kodiak Support Walker

Designed to lay down a withering barrage of automatic firepower, the Kodiak is based on the proven Grizzly chassis. Combining autocannon and machine guns, it can shred enemy infantry and light vehicles with ease, and is well-liked by US troops for its ability to deal with these threats in a hail of lead.

  • K47 - Mk I Automated Infantry Squad with MMG

Created from a fusion of Rift-tech advancements and early artificial intelligence principles, these man-shaped fighting machines are designed to bring both firepower and resilience to the battlefield. Multiple internal Programme wheels allow them to support human forces in a variety of battlefield situations, operating effectively in any terrain or climate. While they lack the manoeuvrability of human soldiers their robust construction allows them to withstand considerable damage. Equipped with MMG or HMGs, they can engage enemies with significant firepower, although their limited computational power necessitates their instructions be simple, and operations swift. Most importantly, on the horror-haunted battlefields of this war these automatons are immune to fear and fatigue. While initially treated with distrust by regular soldiers, the ‘Tinheads' have now earned their respect, especially when facing the enemy’s genetically altered monstrosities.

  • K47 - Nachtalben Squad with StG 44Z

The Nachtalben are one result of human test subjects being exposed to Rift energy, warping them grotesquely whilst leaving them with all their cognitive faculties. Terrifyingly, this means that the test subjects were more than likely voluntary, given their continuing proclivity to military discipline. They are unnaturally fast, with heightened reflexes and unlike other Axis Rift troops carry weapons and fight more like conventional infantry, though they have displayed a limited ability to temporarily shape-shift. As such, Nachtalben specialize in infiltration, ambushes, disrupting enemy lines under the cover of darkness, and moving through tough terrain with unnatural ease.

  • K47 - Nachtjäger Assault Squad

No longer even vaguely human, the Nachtjäger are the result of extensive Rift-tech alteration to human generics. It is unknown if the subjects for this programme are volunteers, but their effect on the battlefield is without question. The Nachtjäger are unleashed wherever the fighting is fiercest, inflicting devastation upon the enemy and crushing morale in one fell, bloody swoop.

  • K47 - Percival Medium Assault Walker

Once the United States Armed forces had received the M8 Grizzly medium walker in sufficient numbers, excess production was diverted to the Commonwealth under the lend-lease scheme. By this time, research into equipping Commonwealth vehicles, including walkers, with automated assistance systems was well underway. Rather than being pressed into service, the entire shipment was diverted to Bovington for study. The Commonwealth had become nervous that relying entirely on the US to provide walkers left it too dependent on a foreign supplier, particularly with the growing cracks in the two nations' relationship. It was therefore urgent for the Commonwealth to be able to design and build its own examples. The result was the Percival, a distinct design from the Grizzly, owing to the need to incorporate the latest automated systems and a sufficient power plant for the Commonwealth’s new iteration of the Tesla cannon.

  • K47 - Totenkorps

The animated corpses of the Totenkorps divide military opinion, as while they are undeniably effective, many Axis troops consider their very existence an abomination, and view them with fear and disgust. The effect they have on enemy troops is even more pronounced, and their sheer resilience to damage makes them a dangerous foe.

  • K47 - Type 7 Sasori Light Walker

The success of the Type 6 armed with the Light Shiboru Cannon led to the development of the Type 7. This improved on the previous design by incorporating an elongated chassis, leaving the crew less cramped, and a pair of front-mounted ‘claws’ equally useful for cutting through dense undergrowth as they are swatting away enemy infantry or even other light vehicles. An articulated tail purpose built for the Type 61 Light Shiboru Cannon was also fitted, affording the gunner much more control when gun laying. Given the Type 7’s even more apparent resemblance to an arachnid than its forerunner, and the addition of the tail sting, this inevitably resulted in the walker being named the Sasori (‘Scorpion’).

  • K47 - Type 97-Kai Shiboru Chi-Ha Light Tank

Shocked by their first encounters with Allied Matilda, Lee, and Sherman tanks, the Chi-Nu medium tank represented Japan’s attempts to modernise their armoured forces during a period of intense conflict and rapid technological advancement.

It was armed with a Type 3 75mm tank gun, capable of engaging Allied tanks more effectively. Additionally, the Chi-Nu had improved armour compared to its predecessors, with a frontal armour thickness of up to 50 mm. Its engine also proved powerful enough to give the Chi-Nu good mobility. Based on the experience with fitting Rift weaponry to the Chi-Ha, a variant of the Chi-Nu mounts the Type 99 Shiboru cannon.

  • K47: British Commonwealth starter army

    Defend the Commonwealth!

The opening of the Rifts has inured the people of Britain and its many overseas territories to new hardships of war. Enduring, British resolve is now at an all time high, and they stand ready to unleash their own new weapons of war upon the dread force of the Axis and the Empire of Japan.

This starter army is the perfect way to begin a British Commonwealth collection for Konflikt ’47, arming you with a battle-ready force complete with Order and Rift Dice.

Central to this force is an Assault Platoon comprised of two squads of Automated Infantry, a Mk I squad laying down a heavy weight of fire thanks to their MMGs, supported and uplifted by their heavy Mk II cousins, whose mere presence nearby improves their accuracy. Both units are immune to the psychological horrors of war and are implacable in the face of defeat. They are well supported by a power-armoured squad of human Galahad infantry. A Platoon Commander, exclusive to this set, leads this platoon from the front, armed with a personal Tesla Rifle.

Backing them up is an Armoured Platoon, headed up by the new Percival Assault Walker. Packing an M17 Tesla Cannon and a Rocket system, it is a serious threat to anything that opposes it. A Humber Mk VII, fitted with the latest in auto-computational assistance and mounting twin automatic-cannons can fire on the move without penalty, and acts as an ideal supporting unit, using its mobility to quickly get where its most needed.

At the core of the starter army is an Assault Platoon. Led by an LMG-armed Platoon Commander in heavy powered armour (sculpt exclusive to this set), the platoon is anchored by a unit of Assault-Frame armoured infantry and a Ghost Attack Squad, capable of redeploying anywhere on the battlefield by exhausting a Rift Die, and bringing their Shiboru rifles to bear on an unsuspecting target!

A Sasori Light Walker lends its support at the head of an Armoured Platoon, supplemented by a Chi-Ha tank that has been reequipped with a Shiboru Cannon of its own. The combined weight of all the Crush weapons available across both platoons should give any tabletop foe cause for concern.

  • Kazak Light Walker

After their initial encounter with the Axis Spinne walker, Soviet forces diligently endeavoured to capture an example. Demonstrating characteristic Soviet determination, scientists and engineers of Science City 4 succeeded in reverse-engineering much of the technology. This, along with plans for bipedal walkers stolen by SMERSH agents from the United States, enabled the Soviet Union to swiftly develop the Kazak walker as the first operational example. This fast and agile reconnaissance vehicle proved to be highly effective and has set the standard for subsequent Soviet walkers.

  • Konflikt '47 Roberta Wells - Firefly Hero

A graduate in physics, the emergence of the Los Alamos Rift at the Trinity test site led to Roberta dedicating herself to the study of Rift Energy. The deployment of Axis Rift horrors, in particular the dread Totenkorps, in late 1944, led to her volunteering to ship out to the European theatre to conduct studies of the application of Rift-tech in warfare. Despite numerous objections from the US Army, her request was eventually granted.

Her no-nonsense approach, resilience to the psychological horrors of the Rift War, and willingness to get stuck in marked her out amongst the raft of scientific advisors seconded to the front. Exhibiting a fierce independence, Roberta would often strike out separately from the squad to which she was attached, lest they constrain her in the pursuit of her studies. Nevertheless, she gradually earned the respect of the US Army soldiers entrusted with her safety in the field, having displayed a remarkable aptitude for combat situations.

Roberta is considered the United States’ best hope in assessing the Dresden Rift in the goal of safely controlling or neutralising it, and has returned to the front line in 1947, attached to 109th Airborne Division bound for Dresden. As a high value asset, she has been granted the use of prototype armour designed specifically for use with the Firefly jump pack. Of course she has already begun to make her own modifications…

  • Konflikt '47 Sd.Kfz. 501/1 Nachtzehrer

The development of a new serum solution by the enigmatic Oberstarzt Albrecht von Zögling, also required the development of a machine to effectively distribute it amongst the freshly dead.

The ultimate design, dubbed the Nachtzehrer (named after the creatures of folklore; revenants said to drag the living to the realm of death), is reminiscent of a hermit crab; it consists of a small crew compartment within which scientists can operate external instruments without exposure, married to an armoured, temperature-controlled canister which houses the highly volatile serum. Large, bladelike forearms inject the serum directly into subject corpses with abject efficiency, and are themselves equally capable of striking down the living, to immediately convert into the walking dead.

This plastic kit also allows you to make the Sd.Kfz.501/4 Infernospinne, which trades the serum housed in its cannister for napalm, and its medical implements for powerful flamethrowers, more potent than its Flammenspinne cousin, though slightly les nimble and somewhat more volatile.

Box contains one plastic Sd.Kfz. 501/1 Nachtzehrer, Vehicle decal sheet, MDF base, and assembly guide.

  • Konflikt '47 Totenkorps Horde

The Totenkorps were the first examples of Rift-derived forces encountered by the Allies and Soviets. Immune to pain and fear, they swamp their foes through sheer relentlessness and inhuman resilience. As such the Totenkorps are mostly employed as terror troops, soaking up enemy fire before closing and engaging in brutal close quarters combat. Even defeated Totenkorps can rise again, potentially many times, before being finally laid to rest. Their decayed forms invariably spread fear on the battlefield, making them a profound threat to even the most hardened enemy combatants.

The initial Totenkorps originated from the dead caught in the vicinity of the opening of the Dresden Rift. In the years since, enigmatic Axis scientist Albrecht von Zögling has perfected a process to replicate the effects on the freshly deceased, and developed the Sd.Kfz. Nachtzehrer, a terrifying machine that can apply his serum to the dead of the enemy on the battlefield itself, so that be immediately employed against their erstwhile allies.

The plastic Totenkorps sprue features reanimated soldiers in varying types of uniform taken from the dead of both the Axis and the United States, including a US Firefly and an Axis Schwertruppen!

Box contains enough parts to make 30 plastic Totenkorps, plastic bases, and assembly guide.

  • Linebacker Jump Walker

Bring death from above and support the US Fireflies with the heavily armed Linebacker Jump Walker!

Following the disastrous drop assault on Collegno in 1946, the limitations of the original M2 Mudskipper series became clear. While a perfectly satisfactory design, the Firefly jump infantry were in need of more versatile fire support when they dropped into combat. American designers developed an extensive series of refits for the Mudskipper to increase its tactical flexibility. An M21 Tesla cannon and innovative new universal mounts for secondary weapons enabled the walker to be quickly configured to face a wide variety of threats, more articulated legs and feet were much more resilient to the pressures of high-impact landings, and a new control system enabled it to be piloted by a single crewman without loss of utility. The new variant was dubbed the M2A5, and officially considered a continuation of the Mudskipper line rather than a distinct vehicle, but crews and Firefly troopers alike quickly dubbed it the ‘Linebacker’. The combat debut of the new model came in May 1947 when 200 Linebackers were rushed to the front line to help breach Axis lines during the siege of Stuttgart during Operation Valentine.

This highly detailed, multi-part plastic kit allows you to assemble a Linebacker armed with its signature M21 Light Tesla Cannon on one arm, and any from a variety of options on the other, Twin HMGs, Twin Automatic Cannons, or Twin Super Bazookas. It also mounts an MMG in the “nose”, which can be substituted for a flamethrower. The model comes with a clear plastic canopy (which can be assembled hinged), allowing you to see the pilot nestled inside.

In games of Konflikt ’47, a Linebacker is a formidable weapon, capable of darting around the battlefield thanks to its jump mechanic, or even deploying anywhere on the table from Reserve to bring its firepower to where you need it most. Coupling this mobility with its Light Tesla Cannon means you can exhaust a Rift Die and unleash a deadly Tesla Arc.

  • Totenrotte Starter Army

A Totenrotte is an Axis military formation comprised of the walking dead. Initially the Totenrotten had the simple directive of deploying Totenkorps amongst enemy lines, sowing physical and psychological chaos amongst the enemy throughout Europe.

However, with newly emergent technology originating from the minds of Axis scientists, led by the research of Albrecht von Zögling, which replicates the effects of the Dresden Rift on the newly dead, the operations of the Totenrotten have greatly expanded in a sinister new direction – recruitment. The Totenrotten now incorporate the Sd.Kfz. 501/1 Nachtzehrer, armoured walkers which can apply von Zögling’s serum on the battlefield itself, and immediately redeploy the newly dead against their former comrades in arms.

This starter army contains the following:

1x Totenrotte Platoon Commander with Bodyguards (3 Warlord Resin Miniatures)
    45x plastic Totenkorps miniatures
    2x Sd.Kfz. 501/1 Nachtzehrer (can also be assembled as Sd.Kfz 501/4 Infernospinne)
    MDF and Plastic Bases
    Assembly guides
    8 x Grey Rift Dice
8 x Grey Order dice with black engravings.

  • Vogelspinne Light Walker

The Vogelspinne scuttles across the battlefield on six legs, bringing to bear a variety of deadly weapons that can be turned to any task.

The Panzerkampfgeher II Vogelspinne started life as an improved 'heavy' variant developed from the Spinne by adding an extra pair of legs to reduce the wear on individual bearings that plagued the earlier design. The added complication of the drivetrain and gyroscopes necessitated lengthening the hull substantially and the project was dubbed the Pz.Kpfg. II Vogelspinne instead. The Vogelspinne retains the light anti-tank gun and 20mm autocannon weaponry of the Spinne but in a fully-enclosed, armoured turret. Provision has also been made to mount a Rift-powered Maschinen Schwere gravity weapon, or a twin light flak cannon mounting.

The Vogelspinne kit can be assembled with a number of weapon configurations, so you can tailor it to the battlefield role you need and your specific playstyle – choose from an Anti-tank Gun, Twin Automatic Cannons, a Flamethrower, or the Maschinen Schwere gravity pulse weapon, which can be equally devastating against infantry or enemy vehicles if you make careful use of Rift Dice. The kit also includes a Vehicle Commander, but can be built with the turret hatch closed should you wish.

This versatility of armament serves the Vogelspinne way when building a Konflikt ’47 Axis Army. With three pairs of legs, and the Recce special rule, it’ll have a hard time getting caught out too.
