The Dacians were a Warlike people living in and around the Carpathian mountains. The Greeks called them the Getae.

The main Dacian warrior type was armed with a spear and shield and maybe a sword or knife. They also used quite a lot of archers but the main weapon feared by the Romans was the dreaded Falx. A two handed scythe type weapon, capable of taking off a mans arm in one blow or piecing the top of helmets as it came down over the Roman shield. The Dacians were very good craftsman and metal smiths and so nobles would wear armour of mail or scales and elaborate helmets. Quite a bit of captured Roman equipment would be used also.

  • Late Roman Horse Archers

12 x Late Roman Horse Archer figures

12 superbly detailed and animated models shooting to the front, side and rear representing the agility of these skilled mounted skirmishers. They come equipped with a powerful composite bow, bow case, arrow quiver, sword and small round shield strapped to their upper left arm.

The Romans steadily increased the use of mounted horse archers in the army as they came into conflict with more and more Stepp nomad peoples who excelled with the use of the bow, as well as having to face the arrow storms of Sassanid Persian Horse archers. Many of the Roman horse archer units were recruited from the very enemies they had to face.

The Notia Dignitatum a late Roman document listing the units of the Western and Eastern halves of the Empire lists nine units of light horse archers. There was probably a considerable amount more units in the Eastern Half of the Empire but the information is not as complete for this part of the Empire, but makes sense since most horse archer enemies were in the east.

These miniatures don’t have to be restricted to just use as Late Romans. They can be used as Early Byzantines representing the men that fought for Belisarius against the Sassanids and the reconquest of Italy from the Goths. And they can be used as Palmyran horse archers. Palmyra was a client state of Rome based in Syria. They acted as a buffer state against the Sassanid Empire and scored a notable victory over the Sassanids under their king Odenathus.

The Late Roman army was a fearsome foe. Its use of mixed arms, infantry and cavalry gave it flexibility and strength.

    12 riders and 12 horses
The torso is separate to the lower body so you can swap torsos onto alternative lower legs and rotate the torso to create more poses.

  • Pillage Rule Book: Ransack the Middle Ages

A narrative-driven skirmish game set in the Viking Age and early medieval period, where every battle tells a story.

"Protect the village. Or burn it to the ground."

Will you stand your ground, defending your people, treasures, and livestock from invading raiders? Or will you storm the enemy’s lands, loot their riches, and set fire to everything in your path? Pillage throws you into the heart of the action, climb, swim, fight, and make every decision count.

    What is Pillage?
Whether you’re storming enemy villages in search of loot or defending your home from fire and steel, Pillage blends fast-paced mechanics with rich, cinematic moments. Climb towers, dive into rivers, rescue civilians, or set the world ablaze, no two games are ever the same. With its emphasis on storytelling, terrain, and objective-based play, Pillage turns your miniatures into heroes, cowards, and legends in a saga of your own making.

Explore a system that is both accessible and deep, designed to recreate the iconic battles of the period: raids and pillaging. Burn villages, capture loot or future slaves, adapt your strategy to the weather, embark on your Longship, or defend your sacred relics from northern invaders!

This book focuses on the period from the 793 raid on Lindisfarne Abbey to the Battle of Hastings in 1066, but it can easily be adapted to conflicts from Antiquity through to the end of the Middle Ages.

It is a time of upheaval and conquest, a world where kingdoms are forged at the tip of a spear, where raiders strike without warning, and where glory means securing a place of honour alongside one's god.

  • Victrix: Dark Age Irish & Dogs

    42 x Dark Age Irish & Dogs (34 Warriors + 8 Dogs)

This set represents Irish warriors from the 4th to 11th centuries, a dynamic period of Dark Age warfare. Constantly in conflict, Irish warbands fought each other and raided across the sea against the Late Romans, Welsh, Picts and Romano-British. Later they faced Saxons and Vikings, while also settling in parts of Wales and Scotland. Irish warriors were typically lightly armed, using spears, javelins, swords and war clubs.
Warfare focused on fast raids, ambushes and skirmishing, though they could also form close order shield walls when needed. A small elite of armoured nobles and chieftains, equipped with mail and helmets, led these warbands. The Irish were known to use dogs in hunting and warfare, able to chase down enemies and drag a man from his horse or chariot.
    What's included?
    42 Figures:
    • 28 Unarmoured Irish Warriors
    • 4 Armoured Nobles and Chieftains
    • 2 Dog Handlers
    • 8 Irish Wolfhounds
