The T’au Empire is spreading, its boundless ambitions yet to be checked. Although world after world has been subsumed under their control, the T’au believe it is only the start of their new unified order, the first steps of a long journey that will end in a better existence for all. In their hearts they know it is their destiny to bring the light of truth to a galaxy drowning in darkness, and none have the right to deny their progress across the stars. If resistance is encountered, negotiations are swiftly and aggressively replaced with a purely military solution.

  • Cadre Fireblade

Fireblades are the most grizzled and seasoned Fire Warriors of their cadre, whose skill at the Fire Warrior's art leads them to eschew battlesuit technology. They are excellent field leaders and their long experience has taught them exactly where to place shots to maximise damage.

The Cadre Fireblade model brings an extra dynamism and level of detail to a T'au collection. The figure is incredibly elaborate, with unique fine-panelled combat armour bearing T'au symbols. With a triumphant expression, in one hand it holds aloft a large bonding knife while in the other it grips a pulse rifle with marker light. Standing on a sculpted base displaying ruined architecture, it wears a long flowing cloak and has long hair that is bound by several clasps in a pony tail.

  • Commander Farsight

There is no figure in T'au history as divisive as Commander O'Shovah. The most famous warrior of Vior'la, Farsight's greatest victories were against the Orks on the oxide-desserts of Arkunahsa. It was his tactical brilliance that earned O'Shovah his famous title ‘Farsight'.

  • Krootox Rider

Many alien races are found to be working alongside their T'au overseers - one of these races is the Kroot, which originated on the world of Pech, a forested world located in the north-west of the T'au Empire. Kroot musculature is extremely powerful and composed of dense fibre spindles with a greater power to mass ratio than is found in humans. In battle the Kroot lash large, unwieldy Kroot guns to the powerful shoulders of the Krootox, using the beast as a mobile weapon platform.

The Citadel Finecast Krootox is an exceptionally detailed miniature, the components of which fit together perfectly. The Krootox model is large and muscular, sculpted with a menacing, don't-mess-with-it expression on its face. If that wasn't enough to make your enemies scared, this kit includes two variants of Kroot gunners for you to choose from.

  • T'au Empire: Kroot War Shaper

  • T'au Empire: Krootox Rider

Krootox Riders are living gun platforms, loaded with armaments that would be far too bulky for light-footed Kroot infantry. Though the Krootox are not naturally aggressive, these powerful beasts regard their fellow Kroot as packmates, and will lash out with fearsome strength to defend their kin. Guided by gunners who sway atop their steeds in sturdy harnesses, they lumber into battle to provide mobile fire support for aggressive hunting packs.

This multipart plastic kit builds one Krootox Rider, an elder Kroot kin-beast with a gunner perched atop its broad back. The Krootox carries one of two heavy weapons into battle – either a rapid-fire repeater cannon that can punch through armoured troops or even light vehicles with a barrage of charged rounds, or a tanglecannon that launches explosive bolas to shred entire hordes. When the fighting draws too close, it crushes foes into pulp with its massive, muscular fists.

  • Tau Empire Commander

Swift and deadly, T'au Commanders pilot battlesuits of intimidating size and power. Of course, simply piloting a huge battlesuit doesn't automatically make a troop into a Commander - more than anything, it's the strategic nous and ability to adapt to unpredictable situations that stands this pilot out from the others. Their XV-85 Enforcer Armour Crisis Battlesuits are armed with immensely destructive weapon arrays - flamers, ion blasters and frag projectors are amongst the optional loadouts, with electronic countermeasure suites and huge data-processing capabilities enhancing their battle prowess.

The on-board holophoton countermeasures and telemetry suites feed the Coldstar and its Commander pilot a massive variety of information that would overwhelm the untrained mind - instead, in this case, it allows the Coldstar Battlesuit to soar over its foes with a grace that enemy targeting systems simply cannot hope to catch.

  • Tau Vespid Stingwings (6 figure boxed set)

Many alien races are found to be working alongside their T'au overseers - one of these races is the Vespid Stingwings. They function as auxiliaries to T'au armies, and the T'au value them for their skill at negotiating dangerous ground at high speed. Stingwings make ideal mobile reserve or flanking troops, though the T'au rely on the communion helm issued to the Strain Leaders to communicate with the Stingwings and coordinate their actions.

  • Tau XV104 Riptide Battlesuit

XV104 Riptide is the pinnacle of the Earth caste's battlesuit development. It stands twice as tall as the XV8 Crisis suit, but its movements are more like those of its smaller cousins than the mechanical stiffness displayed by Imperial walkers with their crude servo-motors.

The XV104 Riptide takes the evolution of the T'au battlesuit to a whole new level. First and foremost the model is huge, towering over the rest of the T'au – even other battlesuits and tanks. Sleek and elegant armour panels, along with bolts and grills, cover its body. Despite its enormous size, with ball and socket joints it remains a manoeuvrable model whose arms and legs can be posed in a variety of different ways. Either standing tall or even kneeling down, you can use it as a unique, dynamic centrepiece for your T'au army. As well as three variant heads it comes with a range of weapons options including a heavy burst cannon, twin-linked smart missile systems, fusion blaster and Riptide shield generator. If that wasn't enough, the kit also comes with two Shielded Missile Drones.

  • XV8 Crisis Battlesuits Tau Empire

An iconic rendering of T'au technological progress and ingenuity, the XV8 Crisis Battlesuit is a thing of joy to behold in battle - unless you're its target. Skimming along on the jets of their repulsor engines, Crisis Battlesuits close on their enemy with a surprising speed, unloading their diverse weaponry and leaping away in a split second. Only the best T'au warriors are allowed to pilot these machines, spending years on the front line before even being considered for this honour. Able to be dropped from a planet's upper atmosphere, slamming into ranks of enemies like a tidal wave, the XV8 Crisis Battlesuit is the ultimate balance of firepower, speed and resilience.

This multi-part plastic kit contains everything needed to build three XV8 Crisis Battlesuits, with six accompanying drones. There's an impressive level of customisation available, with ball fittings allowing unprecedented posability. One miniature can be optionally assembled as a Shas'vre, with special head and chest plate, and there's a prodigious amount of advanced T'au weaponry in the box: four plasma rifles, three flamers, four fusion blasters, four burst cannons, three missile pods and three shield generators. • XV88 Broadside Battlesuit

Designed to offer long-range support, the XV88 Broadside Battlesuit has exceeded expectations, becoming a mainstay of the Hunter Cadres and tank-killers of legendary proportions. With robust armouring, manoeuvrability and a stack of weapons within the box, the XV88 Broadside Battlesuit provides the T'au collector with a number of options. The kit brings a fresh twist to the line of T'au battlesuits – they're noticeably denser models with a great presence in a collection of miniatures. Each one features a particle accelerator on the back. The standard weapon is for the long and immensely powerful-looking twin-linked rail rifle, though they can be outfitted with eye-wateringly potent and somewhat fist-like twin-linked high yield missile system pods. If that wasn't enough, then you can also use the twin-linked smart missile – enough to please any T'au weapons connoisseur. The kit comes with a Shield Drone and Missile Drone.
