Marneus Calgar, Chapter Master of the Ultramarines, is not only a consummate warrior, but also a highly talented strategist. He is master of Ultramar, a vast swathe of space on the embattled Eastern Fringe. He launched the counter-invasion of the xenos-tainted planet of Vigilus with the veteran warriors Lethro Ados and Nemus Adranus - two of his most trusted aides from the Victrix Guard - always at his side. Marneus Calgar was the first to undergo the extremely risky surgery required to transform a traditional Space Marine into a Primaris Marine, and that is represented with this brand-new model. He makes the perfect leader for any Ultramarines army, while the Victrix Guard give this unit an even greater degree of survivability and killing power on the battlefield. - Marneus Calgar is a great addition to any Ultramarines army. Clad in the Armour of Heraclus - a suit of MkX Gravis Armour, and is wielding the legendary Gauntlets of Ultramar, he casts an imposing figure on the battlefield. Clad in heavy Gravis armour, Aggressor Squads advance on the foe as walking fortresses of ceramite. More mobile than some other Space Marines, they’re better able to negotiate rough ground, making them versatile troops; while they are often employed in specific circumstances or on certain terrain, Aggressor Squads are used as reserves to plug breaches in gun lines or to spearhead an advance. The range of their weaponry is not too long, but when they get close enough to open fire, the result is a sweeping fusillade of large-calibre bolter shells that can shatter enemy charges. This multi-part plastic kit contains the components necessary to assemble a 3-man Primaris Aggressor Squad. Extremely heavily armoured, their silhouette is wider and chunkier than most Primaris Space Marines, due in no small part to the choice of auto boltstorm gauntlets or flamestorm gauntlets. There are three sets of each, with every weapon featuring pipes or belts that are fed from the enormous backpack. One set of flamestorm gauntlets features retracted barrels, as in close combat fists speak louder than flames… Should you choose the boltstorm gauntlets, the Aggressors can also take a fragstorm grenade launcher. You have the option of assembling 3 Aggressors or 2 Aggressors and a Sergeant; a host of options are available either way. There are 6 heads for the standard Aggressors, with respirators on the mask of those using flamestorm gauntlets, and 2 more specific heads for the Sergeant. Also included are reliquaries and purity seals, with special examples for Sergeants featuring extra skulls. The Primaris Aggressors come as 107 components, and are supplied with 3 Citadel 40mm Round bases. |

Strung around the chest plate are several canopic jars, bearing purity seals: these are filled with progenoid organs that have passed his scrutiny, and will be used in the creation of further Primaris Space Marines. In his right hand he clutches a freshly-hewn organ upon which his gaze is fixed; another canopic jar hangs from his arm, ready. His left arm holds a narthecium, the grisly instrument of his craft, though this can be replaced with an optional absolver pistol (often the last thing a fallen brother will see…) Adding to the detail and options of this kit are a selection of lamps and surgical inspection lenses, with a chainsaw, injector servo arm, drill and stapler amongst the possible modelling options. As a macabre narrative extra, a slain Space Marine is included with a huge incision made by the Apothecary’s narthecium, to be added to the base. Primaris Apothecary also includes a Ultramarines Character Transfer Sheet, which features Captain, Chaplain, Librarian and Lieutenant iconography. |
Each company in a Chapter of the Adeptus Astartes falls under the command of a Captain. It is often said that a Space Marine is worth at least ten other soldiers; under the leadership of a Captain, this swells even further, for they coordinate their warriors with deadly precision and inspire their followers to fight with a dedication and spirit that cannot be instilled by training or discipline alone. A Primaris Captain in Phobos Armour is an HQ choice for any Adeptus Astartes Faction – including Blood Angels, Dark Angels and even the Space Wolves (for whom he fulfils the role of Wolf Lord). He is a highly skilled warrior in every aspect of battle and wields a deadly master-crafted instigator bolt carbine – a marksman’s weapon designed to snipe enemy commanders. The models can be assembled as either a 10-man squad, a squad of 9 Hellblasters with a Sergeant or 2 separate 5-man squads, each with a Sergeant of their own. The whole squad can be armed with a host of plasma weaponry – there are 10 plasma incinerators included, with the components required to turn any of them into an assault plasma incinerator or heavy plasma incinerator, depending on your preference.
