  25mm Dual Use Bases

  A NEW KIND OF WARGAMES BASE   These are a new kind of 25mm round base that has been designed to work with figures that have either an integral “puddle” base or flat feet. One side has a 23mm x 1mm indented recess so that figures with puddle bases will have their feet flush with the edge and eliminate that “standing on a hill” look. The other side is flat for figures which will have their feet glued directly to the base. These bases have a low 2mm profile to blend well with the tabletop and there is also a 3mm x 1mm hole to add a magnet for secure storage or for use with a movement tray. 60 bases per box

  Afghan Cavalry

  FROM OUT OF THE SHIMMERING HAZE A DEADLY SIGHT...   These fearsome warriors used their cavalry to great advantage in stalking and launching attacks on the British and other invaders from their mountainous homeland. Often, Afghan cavalry units (regular and irregular alike) were able to strike hard and fast to devastating effect before disappearing into the surrounding terrain as if they were never there.   This set includes cavalry typical of the North-West Frontier during conflicts with the British from the 1830s-1920s.   The “Great Game” between Russia and Britain in the 19th century led to Afghanistan becoming a focal point of European interests. Little were British soldiers prepared for the ferocity and tenacity of these hardy mountain warriors.   This set includes warriors typical of the North-West Frontier during conflicts with the British from 1830s-1920s.   Boxers

  THE DRAGON WAKES!   China 1899. A populist movement secretly supported by the Empress Dowager has risen up to expel all foreigners from Chinese soil. Called the Yihequan (Fists of Harmony and Justice) but “Boxers” by foreigners because their members practiced martial arts, the group attacked both foreign residents of China and Chinese who had converted to Christianity.   The uprising culminated in the siege of Peking (Beijing) with the small forces of the foreign Legations surrounded and besieged. A relief column was quickly cobbled together by the Eight Nation Alliance made up of Britain, France, Germany, Japan, Russia, Austo-Hungary, Italy, and the United States. After brutal fighting the Legation Quarter was liberated in August 1900.   This hard plastic box set allows you to build up to 30 warriors with options to create the famed Kansu (Gansu) Braves and Tigermen.   British Expeditionary Force

  FROM PHONEY WAR TO DUNKIRK!   As Hitler's war machine overran Europe, British soldiers were sent en masse to help defend France and also made a failed attempt to relieve Norway. German Blitzkrieg warfare was too much for the smattering of veterans and relatively green troops sent to Europe after hasty training. Outmaneuvered and outgunned they eventually fell back on the coast. Many were evacuated during the brave effort at Dunkirk but many also ended up as German POWs.    This hard plastic box set will allow you to build both BEF and Home Guard troops (and useful for Imagi-Nations British civil wars too!)   Foot Serjeants

  German Infantry (1916-1918) Box Set

  GOTT MIT UNS!   The war that would be over by Christmas 1914 drags on. Soldiers on both sides are confronted by the grim reality of modern war: trenches, barbed wire, machine guns, and poison gas. Still, battles must be fought and won at any cost.   THE “DEVIL’S PAINTBRUSH”   Allied troops gave the Maxim MG-08 this grim nickname to describe how German teams could sweep their bullets across the battlefield like a brush covering a wall.   German Sentries

  HALT! STEHEN BLEIBEN!  German soldiers were assigned to thousands of non-combat roles in both conquered territories and within their own borders. Soldiers could be tasked with watching over prisoner of war camps and secret military facilities, as bodyguards for higher command, for run-of-the-mill guard duties and military police roles. In some cases they were taken from the best and brightest, but most were just average men in unexciting jobs.   PUNISHERS OF THE BATTLEFIELD…   Once united under the banner of the Great Tharl, the Ogre tribes and city states were sworn enemies of the Mannish kingdoms. Under the High Queen’s Peace though, some nations have begun to trade and even allied with the Free Kingdoms. Ogre mercenaries have adopted some of the more flamboyant customs and dress of their human employers and are formidable foes on the battlefield.   This box set lets you build either 9 Landsknecht Ogres or 9 of The Vain for Death Fields. Weapons include halberds, spears, cannon, knives, clubs, great swords, pistols, auto-guns, shotguns, and grenades. A huge variety of heads, floppy hats, feathers, and more will allow you to customize to your heart’s content!   Late Roman Legionaries (1): Lorica Hamata

  IN HOC SIGNO VINCES   “In this sign, conquer”. The legions underwent significant expansion and changes through Diocletian and Constantine’s reforms but by the late 6th century would become almost unrecognizable. Still, the legionaries fought across the whole of the Roman world against Pict and Irish raiders in Britannia, Vandals in North Africa, Sassanid Persians in Mesopotamia, and the never-ending onslaught of migrating Germanic and Hunnic tribes. More often than not they fought in brutal civil wars to determine who would be Emperor.   This hard plastic set allows you to build up to 24 legionaries with spatha, spear, and plumbata along with two types of standards and full command. This set provides three different helmet options: the Niedebieber, ridge, and Spangenhelm styles along with the fur “Panonnian” cap. There are two types of crest options and extra heads to create command.   Prussian Reserve 1813-15

  BEFREIUNGSKIEGE!   The 1807 Treaty of Tilsit forced Prussia to constrain their army to no more than 42,000 men. They evaded the restriction by the Krümper System of cycling new recruits through the army to create a reserve of trained men.   When Prussia declared war on France on 17 March 1813 (the Befreiungskriege or War of Liberation), over 40 reserve battalions were formed and organized into a dozen Reserve Infantry Regiments. These were instrumental in the defeat of Napoleon.   This box set is an ARMY BUILDER and allows you to build 60 hard plastic figures with a choice of either covered shako or the Schirmütz (peaked cap).   Renaissance Heavy Cavalry

  A CHARGE OF BRIGHT STEEL!   Gunpowder cannon transformed the battlefields of Europe in the late 15th and into the 16th century and then those battlefields were transformed again as matchlock and wheel-lock firearms could be fielded by infantry…and cavalry. Cavalry of the period was typically of two main types: the Demi-lancer and the Reiter. Both typically wore three-quarters plate armor specializing on the lance for the former and a combination of sword and pistol for the latter.    This hard plastic box set allows you to build up to 12 riders equipped with sword, matchlock pistol, wheel-lock pistol, and lance. Optional armor pieces are included for the horses (or the horses can be used plain with the included saddles).   Russian Infantry (1914-1918)

Despite these vast numbers the Russians fared poorly against Germany and Austria-Hungary after initial successes. As the war dragged on, unrest in home led first to the February Revolution in early 1917 seeing the downfall of the Tsar. Russia was soon embroiled in a civil war that would culminate with the formation of the Soviet Union.   This hard plastic set allows you to build up to 35 Russian infantry equipped for World War One and suitable for the Russian Revolution and beyond.
