Gangs and Characters

Gangs and Characters
Across the blackened industrial hives, gangs continually fight for the control of territories, Enforcers fight to execute the rule of law and the tentacles of insidious cults worm their way through the populace. It is a world where the most that anyone can hope for is survival, and so it has bred people who are true survivors.
Pick your gang and enter the Underhive.

  • 'Jotunn' H-Grade Industrial Servitor Ogryns

Ogryns are one of the most commonly seen strains of abhuman throughout the Imperium. What they lack in intelligence they more than make up for in terms of strength. As such they are in great demand in the underhive, where they fulfill a variety of roles. Of course, some gangs are known to take their Servitor Ogryns into battle with them where they can prove to be a fantastic equalizer against better equipped gangs.

Add some extra strength to your gang with these two Ogryns – either add them to your Slave Ogryn gang or hire them as Brutes for any other gang. However you field them, these Ogryns provide the brute strength necessary to dominate the underhive.

This 57-part plastic kits makes two Jotunn H-Grade Servitor Ogryns. It comes with multiple head options, including a Lobo-slave variant and also features different bodies, optional backpacks, augmetic fists, storm-welders, spud-jackers and the option to make Ogryns with only one arm – though they're far from 'armless! The kit is supplied with two Necromunda 40mm round bases.

Rules for adding an Ogryn Brute to any gang can be found in Gangs of the Underhive, House of Chains and House of Blades.

  • Ash Wastes Nomads Dustback Helamites

Unlike the outcasts and scavvies, these rugged survivors are born to the wastes, adapted to life in a desolate and deadly environment. Eschewing vehicles, which require fixed workshops and extensive maintenance, the Ash Waste Nomads instead tame the macro-insects that live in the wastes. Known as Dustback Helamites, these creatures can swiftly skitter across the shifting dunes, bearing skilled riders to provide loping speed and devastating hitting power on raids.

This multipart plastic kit allows you to add Dustback Helamite Riders to your Ash Waste Nomads gang. This set of four miniatures offers a number of equipment options and cosmetic components, to help you build unique mounted gangers, and includes:

  • Ash Wastes Nomads War Party

Ash Waste Nomads have inhabited the Great Equatorial Wastes for as long as anyone can remember. Unlike the outcasts and scavvies, these rugged survivors are born to the wastes, adapted to life in a desolate and deadly environment. This multipart plastic kit allows you to build your own Ash Waste Nomads gang, including a Chieftain and Watcher to provide leadership and heavy support. This set of 10 miniatures has been designed to provide you with a wide variety of equipment, options, and cosmetic pieces, so each member of your gang can be unique. The set includes:

  • Delaque Nacht-Ghul And Psy-Gheists

A Nacht-Ghul is an assassin and saboteur without peer. Crafted by psychic-science and esoteric chems, they are the edge of the blade in the dark that cuts away the enemies of the Delaque – or the enemies of their friends if it suits their purposes. Delaque gangs will often include these talented agents, though they do so with the knowledge that the Nacht-Ghul ultimately answers to the Star Chamber and the whispers of the Psychoterica.

Expand your Delaque Gang with these seven additional fighters. These secretive agents of House Delaque are equipped with a variety of specialist wargear to better enable them to perform their shadowy purpose. The two Nacht-Ghuls can be armed with either a shivver blade and serpent’s fang, while one of the Psy-Gheists is clad in a psychomancer's harness. With the exception of the Psychoteric Wyrms, who act as psychic nodes for their masters, all of the other fighters are psykers, and will offer your gang an enormous tactical advantage.

This kit is supplied as 98 components that make the following seven miniatures:

  • Enforcer 'Sanctioner' Pattern Automata

Sanctioners are semi-sentient servo-automata, employed by Palanite Enforcers in times of particular crisis. These hulking cybernetic brutes are controlled by the salvaged cranial remains of particularly merciless Enforcers, psycho-conditioned for utter dedication to the letter of the law. As such, they are known on the streets of Necromunda as ‘Lawtomata’, relentless armoured constructs protected by thick carapace plating, shrugging off small arms fire and putting down whole uprisings with heavier weaponry than any flesh-and-blood Enforcer could bring to bear.

This multipart plastic kit builds two Enforcer 'Sanctioner' Pattern Automata, armoured robots that can be used by any Palanite Enforcer gang. Each of these cybernetic sluggers sports a built-in grenade launcher and can be armed with a variety of fearsome weaponry – the kit includes two right-handed pacifier assault claws, as well as two heavy shock batons, two concussion cannons, two assault rams, and two mancatchers that can be mounted on either arm, or even both. Each Sanctioner's arms can be posed as you see fit, and the kit offers multiple ways to pose their legs, adding extra variety to your robot reinforcements.

The kit comprises 104 plastic components, and comes with 2x Necromunda 40mm Round Bases. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.

  • Escher Death-maidens and Wyld Runners

Death Maidens and Wyld Runners represent the two ends of the Escher lifecycle. All Escher adolescents grow up in the Wyld, learning everything they need to know about hive life free from the oppressive societies imposed by most other Clan Houses. As they come of age, they either join the clan or become Wyld Runners, reckless and bold explorers and beast wranglers. Death Maidens are fallen warriors of the Escher, raised from their graves in order to seek revenge for the House of Blades.

Expand your Escher gang with these six fighters and their cute but deadly pets. Wyld Runners may be armed with low-tech weaponry, in the form of whips and bows, but are no less lethal for it. Death Maidens come armed with a needle pistol and venom claw, allowing them to kill their enemies with the finest poisons from the House of Blades.

    This 138-part plastic kit makes:
    – 2x Death Maidens with needle pistols and venom claws

  • Kal Jericho & Scabs

In the underhive of Necromunda, many Bounty Hunters ply their trade – but none are as successful or infamous as Kal Jericho. Rogue, swashbuckler and illegitimate son of the world's ruler, he is expert at getting himself (and his long-suffering companion, Scabs) into danger – and fighting his way out.

Kal Jericho and Scabs can be hired by any Necromunda gang looking for a leg-up on their foes. Kal is deadly at close range, an expert shot with his two hotshot laspistols, and if any enemies survive his barrage, he's pretty handy with the duelling sabre he carries as well. If you're getting up-close and personal with an opposing gang, he's a great choice to bolster your forces. If any enemies do slip by Kal, Scabs will be watching his back. His stub gun and plasma gun ensure that he's a match for any enemy, making him a fantastic supporting player to any mission involving Kal, and giving the pair of them a place alongside any gang.

  • Luther Pattern Excavation Automata "Ambot"

The Luthor pattern Excavation Automata is a heavy construct built in imitation of the Ambull, a huge, roughly humanoid xenos creature common to hot, arid worlds. These automata are commonly used for slag mining and ash excavation. However, there is always an underhive gang waiting for the opportunity to liberate such a prized commodity and utilise it as a weapon against their rivals!

Available to any gang as a Brute option, Ambots might not be subtle – but when you can reduce a fully armoured Goliath ganger to paste in moments, you don't need to be!

The Tauros Venator is an all-terrain vehicle, favoured by the Palanite Enforcers as a rapid interceptor ideal for policing the vital ridgeways that criss-cross Necromunda's ash wastes. • Necromunda: Cargo-8 Ridgehauler

The Guild of Coin rules the roads of Necromunda. They transport material between hives and, for a hefty price, they'll even smuggle weapons and people. Crossing the arid, violent, and irradiated ash wastes is a risky business, so the guild employs convoys of Cargo-8 Rideghaulers. These hulking vehicles are perfect for traversing the dunes thanks to their massive wheels and sturdy engines, hauling trailers of armoured containers and transport carriages across the Great Equatorial Wastes, but their true appeal comes from their modularity – it takes little effort to outfit one with enough guns to make it a mobile fortress, ready to repel gang ambushes and raids.

This multipart plastic kit allows you to build a Cargo-8 Ridgehauler, for use with any gang except the Ash Waste Nomads. You can construct this vehicle with six or eight wheels, and the choice of a cab-mounted grenade launcher or heavy stubber. The Ridgehauler's modular assembly options allow you to field it with a flatbed cargo bay capable of carrying gang fighters and freight goods, or with a Munitorum Armoured Container. The Container can be mounted with up to two heavy stubbers or storm bolters, and built with two gunners or closed hatches. The Cargo-8 Ridgehauler can also be fielded with an adjustable rear coupling, allowing it to tow a Ridgehauler Trailer and form your own land train.

This multipart plastic kit builds four Cawdor Ridge Walkers, ramshackle warmachines that can be added to any Cawdor gang. These bipedal constructs are built from scrap and spare parts, littered with exposed mechanisms and makeshift repairs. The Way-Brethren can be armed with a motley collection of weapons – this set includes autoguns, frag lances, krak lances, and flails for each of them, as well as two stub guns and two reclaimed autopistols. The kit offers a choice of eight different head designs, plus interchangeable bodies and backpacks to give each of your Cawdor riders a distinct appearance, as well as extra armour and foot-skids to personalise your Ridge Walkers.

This set comprises 100 plastic components, and is supplied with 4x Citadel 60x35mm Oval Bases. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.

  • Necromunda: Escher Cutters

Cutters are fast, agile jetbikes, reflecting House Escher's preference for deadly speed over brutish durability. Borne across the skies of the ash wastes by a staggeringly powerful engine, Cutters are seldom the stablest or safest of rides – but leave any rivals choking on clouds of dust and trails of corrosive chem-exhaust. Soaring over obstacles and barricades, a descending Cutter can slice through the enemies of the House of Blades with a hail of gunfire, then jink away before the foe can respond.

This multipart plastic kit builds four Escher Cutters, lightning-fast jetbikes that can be added to any Escher gang. These ferocious flying machines boast a powerful front turbine with exposed engine cylinders, providing thrust for their sleek, bladed chassis. Each Cutter has a deadly gas trap launcher installed on its undercarriage, and sports a pair of mounted weapons on either side of the jetbike – you can choose between twin-linked grenade launchers, twin-linked heavy stubbers, or twin-linked plasma guns. The kit includes a choice of two different head designs and four interchangeable hairstyles, to give each of your Escher riders their own distinct appearance.

  • Necromunda: Genestealer Abomination Gang

The Malstrain is an insidious mutation of the Genestealer Curse. Experiments meant to create a vaccine against the xenos plague merely warped it into something new and terrible, an alien cancer that still lurks within Hive Secundus. The Genestealers of the Malstrain are terrible evolutionary missteps possessed of extreme speed and aggression, capable tearing a full-grown Goliath into bloody meat in seconds. They accompany the gangs and Brood Scum they have infected, joined by Malstrain Tyramites – overgrown insectoid parasites, bloated on Malstrain infection, who follow their chosen masters like faithful chittering hounds.

This multipart plastic kit allows you to build your own Malstrain or Malstrain Corrupted gang, including six Malstrain Genestealers and four Malstrain Tyramites. Each of the Malstrain Genestealers sports razor-sharp claws and a range of head options, including drooling tongues, barbed ovipositors, and tentacles. • Necromunda: Goliath Maulers

Maulers are bulky, heavily armoured vehicles, perfectly suited to the gang members of House Goliath. Their hydraulic drive combines tracks and wheels to keep moving regardless of the terrain, while a front-mounted power ram inflicts horrendous damage on anything foolish enough to stand in its path. Brutal, loud, and almost impossible to stop, an oncoming Mauler is a terrifying sight to behold – the very spirit of the House of Chains, made manifest in steel and fumes.

This multipart plastic kit builds two Goliath Maulers, destructive vehicles that can be added to any Goliath gang. These monstrous bikes are loaded with armour plates and spiked power rams, and can each be built with an oversized front tyre or a grinding wheel mechanism. They feature a weapon hardpoint on either side of the vehicle, which can be mounted with a choice of two weapon options – twin-linked bolters, or twin-linked grenade launchers. Each Mauler is piloted by a Goliath Road Thug – the kit includes a choice of four different heads and two interchangeable head crests, to help build distinctive riders for each of your vehicles.

  • Necromunda: Goliath Stimmers & Forgeborn

In House Goliath, Stimmers are established gangers. While seeking to achieve the peak of the Goliath's aspirational physical and musculature performance, they have become addicted to growth and combat stimms. Meanwhile, Forge-born, are gang prospects. They have not yet proven themselves to the Goliath, so they are not yet fully inducted into the Goliath Gang culture. As such, they often undertake the more dangerous tasks for the gang in an effort to prove themselves.

Expand your Goliath Gang with these six additional fighters. As with all members of the House of Chains, they excel in fighting up close and personal. Stimmers are those gang members who have eschewed the path of leadership and instead focus on the mastery of brutal violence, while Forge-born are the hot headed youths who will be the future of the gang.

This kit is supplied as 112 components that make 2 Goliath Stimmers, one armed with paired pulverizers and one armed with assault grenade launchers, and 4 Goliath Forge-born, two armed with storm-welders and two armed with heavy rock saws. It comes supplied with 2 Necromunda 40mm bases and 4 Necromunda 25mm bases.

  • Necromunda: Malcadon, Yeld & Jakara Spyre Hunters

Spyrers are lethal hunters, noble children of House Helmawr equipped with an advanced hunting rig and sent into Necromunda's perilous depths to prove themselves. These cybernetic predators seek to rack up a body count worthy of their status, and enjoy the thrill of the hunt into the bargain. Malcadon, Yeld, and Jakara are light classes of Spyre warsuit, contrasting the heavy Orrus-class rigs. The Malcadon is a hyper-mobile brawler with grapnels and claws, while the Jakara duels with a shield and blade, and the Yeld soars above its prey. Veteran Spyrers may become Hunt Masters, entrusted with a rare Sovereign hunting rig capable of adapting to many different loadouts.

These consummate hunters care only for the kill, driven to accrue a gruesome body count in order to prove their mettle – and alleviate the crushing boredom of noble life. Orrus Spyre Hunters favour brute strength and armour over finesse, with warsuits designed to to bulldoze through lesser enemies in search of worthy prey. Spyrers are often accompanied by Caryatids, mildly psychic winged cherubs that tend to attach themselves to powerful figures.

  • Necromunda: Promethium Tanks On Cargo-8 Trailer

The Guild of Coin rules the roads of Necromunda. They transport material between hives and, for a hefty price, they'll even smuggle weapons and people. Crossing the arid, violent, and irradiated ash wastes is a risky business, so the guild employs convoys of Cargo-8 Ridgehaulers. These hulking vehicles can cart huge volumes of resources through the most dangerous outlands – such as tanks of promethium, the highly volatile and equally valuable fuel employed throughout the Imperium. A secure fuel supply is the lifeblood of the wastes, and the payoff for a successful delivery is well worth the risks of perching atop a tanker of explosive gas during a roadside firefight.

This multipart plastic kit allows you to build a Ridgehauler Trailer with a set of Promethium Tanks, for use with a Cargo-8 Ridgehauler. You can construct this trailer with six or eight wheels, and the Ridgehauler Trailer's modular assembly options allow you to field it with a flatbed cargo bay capable of carrying gang fighters and freight goods, or with a pair of Promethium Tanks that can be built in a variety of sizes, complete with an overflow tank and a walkway that gangers can ride atop. The Ridgehauler Trailer can also be fielded with an adjustable rear coupling, allowing you to hook additional trailers onto your land train – each Cargo-8 Ridgehauler can tow up to four trailers.

The kit also includes a variety of accessories:
    – 1x Crate, with a choice of two interiors
    – 1x Hose
    – 2x Wrenches

  • Necromunda: Promethium Tanks Refuelling Station

In the ash wastes of Necromunda, fuel is as vital as water. Becoming stranded in the weather-blasted expanses leaves a vehicle exposed to the elements and the attention of roaming gangs. Those with access to a supply of promethium are rich in credits, ammo, and the ability to freely traverse the ash wastes. As a result, fights around refuelling stations are commonplace, with many gangers having met their end at the hands of rivals desperate for promethium, or blown to pieces when a stray shot pierced a tank of the volatile fuel.

This multipart plastic kit allows you to build a Promethium Tanks Refuelling Station for use as terrain in games of Necromunda. It includes the components for four fuel tanks that can be built in a variety of sizes, complete with platforms for your fighters to scramble over in battle. These tanks can be gluelessly linked in different configurations to suit your gaming needs, and can be combined with other Necromunda terrain kits to create a true outlands waystation. This set also includes a pair of overflow tanks with ladders, and a host of accessories to bring your station to life, such as crates, hoses, and tools.

They favour either untested or dangerous tech, and are perhaps most well-known for their use of grav-cutters. Far more respected are the Archeoteks, who can be found at all levels of Van Saar society, including holding valued positions within the clan's gags.

Expand your Van Saar gang with these six fighters. The Archeoteks are Van Saar Champions that have access to the best technology that the clan can provide – one of these models comes equipped with a deadly rad beamer while the other has an esoteric spider-rig. The Neoteks each fly into action aboard a grav-cutter. They each carry a laspistol and an energy shield, and the kit comes with four different heads.

This 138-part kit makes two Archeoteks and four Neoteks. It comes supplied with four 32mm Necromunda Bases, two 25mm Necromunda Bases, and six 45mm Groove Stems.

Rules for using these fighters in games of Necromunda can be found in the House of Artifice book.

  • Necromunda: Van Saar Ash Wastes Arachni-rig

Ash Wastes Arachni-rigs – known to House Van Saar as Arachnika Ash-jumpers – are armoured exoskeletons designed to traverse Necromunda’s rugged surface. Jump jets allow them to boost over obstacles, leap free of trouble, or unexpectedly drop in amongst their foes. Heavy weapons and surprising mobility make Ash-jumpers a match for rival vehicles and Nomad war parties, as they carve through Cargo-8 trains with laser and plasma blasts, clear rough terrain with flamers and rad guns, and snag targets with harpoons.

This multipart plastic kit builds two Van Saar Ash Wastes Arachni-rigs, outland variants of the Arachni-rig that can be added to any Van Saar gang. These mobile exosuits are heavily armoured and fitted with powerful jump boosters. Each sports twinned heavy las carbines on its hull, a pair of mechanical servo-arms, and your choice of two arm-mounted guns – a plasma gun or flamer, and a rad gun or a harpoon launcher.

Each Ash Wastes Arachni-rig can be assembled with a closed canopy, or an open canopy revealing the pilot, who comes with two different heads. They’re posed leaping through the air – adventurous hobbyists can also remove the pegs from joints in the arms and legs, allowing you to adjust the pose further.

This set comprises 120 plastic components, and comes with 2x Citadel 50mm Round Bases with flying stems. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel paints.

Rules for using Van Saar Ash Wastes Arachni-rigs can be found in the Necromunda: The Aranthian Succession – Ruins of Jardlan supplement, which is available separately.

  • Necromunda: Van Saar Tek-Hunters

Tek-hunters are the specialist explorers of House Van Saar, each selected for their unique skills and mastery of specialised equipment. The overlords of their house task them with dangerous but lucrative missions, such as locating and retrieving data crystals from the Underhells of Hive Secundus.

The multipart plastic kit allows you to add veteran Tek-hunters to your House Van Saar gangs, building a roster of eight specialist delvers. Each Tek-hunter wears an armoured bodyglove and shoulder-mounted photo-lumen, to help them explore and survive the Secundan Underhells, and has access to a variety of specialist weaponry and equipment, such as the Bioteknist's servo-medicae or the Gunntek's long las.

    Contains:
    – 2x Augurteks with lasguns, or Gunnteks with long las rifles and refraction cloaks
    – 2x Bioteknists with lasguns, or Augurteks with las carbines, augurspexes, and vox arrays
    – 2x Bioteknists with servo-medicae and laspistols, or Gunnteks with lasguns
    – 2x Teknomats, each equipped with a rad gun or combi-weapon (flamer/man-catcher)

This set comprises 178 plastic components and is supplied with 8x Necromunda 25mm Bases. They are supplied unassembled and unpainted – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.

Rules for using Van Saar Tek-hunters can be found in Necromunda: Book of Desolation, which is available separately.

  • Orlock Arms Masters and Wreckers

As Orlock gangs grow, they need Arms Masters to support the Road Captain and keep the Gunners and Greenhorns in line. As well as enforcing order, they lead by example, either cracking heads or unleashing their Cyber-mastiffs on enemy fighters. Wreckers, on the other hand, are young hot-headed prospects that court danger. Equipped with jump boosters, they can often cause as much damage to themselves as they do to enemy gangs.

Expand your Orlock gang with these six fighters alongside their faithful and deadly cyber companions. The Wreckers are armed with a selection of pistols, knives, and demolition charges. They come with a groove stem so that they can be assembled to give the impression that they are airborne. Either Arms Master can be armed with a combat shotgun, or they can don a full servo harness and carry a deadly arc hammer into battle. Both Cyber-mastiffs are modelled running forward, hunting down their underhive prey.

This 120-part plastic kit makes two Arms Masters, two Cyber-mastiffs, and four Wreckers. It comes supplied with four 25mm round Necromunda bases, four 32mm round Necromunda bases, and a 45mm groove stem set.

Rules for using these models in games of Necromunda can be found in Necromunda: House of Iron.
