  • Codex: Adeptus Mechanicus

The Adeptus Mechanicus are the fanatical worshippers of the Machine God of Mars. For thousands of years the robed priests of the Machine Cult have presided over the fabrication, maintenance, and preservation of Humanity’s surviving technological wonders with reverence and ritual. Led by Tech-Priests whose weak organic flesh has been replaced with metallic augmentations, their armies fight to defend forge worlds and strike out across the galaxy in search of ancient archeotech.

Among the Machine Cult's ranks are cohorts of obedient cybernetic soldiers, lumbering warrior robots, and battle servitors. They bear an array of esoteric weapons, capable of annihilating foes in volleys of irradiated ammunition or incinerating them with torrents of searing energy. • Codex: Aeldari

The Aeldari once ruled the galaxy, before their civilisation collapsed under the weight of their hedonism. Now they are a dying and fractured race, their differing factions all finding ways to survive in a galaxy where their extinction seems inevitable. All members of Aeldari society depend on the power of their seers, the skills of their warriors, and the technological superiority of their sleek weapons and engines of war.

The Asuryani sail the sea of stars aboard massive starships called craftworlds, their citizens keeping to highly disciplined Paths to avoid drowning in the same decadence as their ancestors. The Harlequins are warrior-dancers who worship Cegorach, the Laughing God, and do not distinguish between art and war. Some, like the Corsairs, hark back to the individualism of old, plundering the space lanes for personal profit, while the Ynnari see the salvation of their race in grim unification under Ynnead, the God of the Dead.

This luxurious and expansive book is a must-have for Aeldari players and collectors. Not only does it provide you with the rules to play an Aeldari army, but it also contains loads of background lore, so you can learn all about the rise and fall of the Aeldari, how they wage war, the many Paths their society walks, and the diverse factions that exist beneath the Aeldari banner.

  • Codex: Death Guard

The Death Guard are the greatest champions of the Plague God, Grandfather Nurgle, his favoured spreaders of his bounteous gifts. Look upon them and see the signs: pus seeping from festering wounds that never heal; miasmic smogs of corrosive, stinking gas hanging thickly in the air wherever Nurgle’s chosen tread; the wriggling, lamprey-mouthed tick-leeches that clamp on to their rotting flesh; the droning billions of plague flies that swarm the battlefields they stalk and the ships in which they course through the stars.

Few armies offer such a rich canvas for painting and modelling as the Death Guard. Every miniature is riddled with gruesome details and grisly flourishes, showing the blessings they have received from Nurgle, and in turn how they will spread the Lord of Decay’s infections. With them you can craft a truly head turning – not to mention stomach turning – force that can terrify your enemies and be disgustingly powerful on the battlefield. This book is the ultimate guide to the Death Guard, featuring in depth lore and background and the rules that you need to field them in Warhammer 40,000.

Driven by the vast and ineffable intellect of the Hive Mind, their tendrils drive into fresh systems with every passing hour. • Codex: World Eaters

Fanatical devotees of Khorne’s creed, the World Eaters Traitor Legion is formed of unnumbered warbands who slaughter their way across the galaxy in the Blood God’s name. They have taken countless skulls and rendered hundreds of worlds void of life to honour their bloody patron. The World Eaters are the progeny of the Daemon Primarch Angron. Few forces in the galaxy share the bottomless hatred and rage they draw upon in battle, their unparalleled ferocity multiplied by the Butcher’s Nails implanted into their brains. These devices pound relentlessly, demanding blood and slaughter, and the World Eaters are only too willing to acquiesce.

Khorne Berzerkers charge headlong into the foe, bellowing war cries and oaths to the Blood God and his Skull Throne, chain weapons revving with murderous intent. With them come the monstrous, daemon-possessed Eightbound, flesh-hungry Daemon Engines, and hosts of blood-crazed Jakhals. Obsessed with butchery, the World Eaters hack apart any who stand before them, rendering all up as offerings to Khorne. These beasts of war are a fast-moving force that surge to get up-close and personal with the foe, delivering the killing blow while staring them in the eye.

This bloody tome is a must-have guide for those who collect and play the servants of the Skull Throne. It contains all the rules needed to play a World Eaters army along with a forbidden library of sanguine lore. Learn about the initial seeds of Angron’s betrayal, the gory battles of Khârn the Betrayer – Khorne’s most ardent Heretic Astartes champion – and the blood-crazed hordes which make up this most feared of Traitor Legions.

Inside this 88-page hardback book, you'll find:
    – In-depth background information on the World Eaters, from the dark days of the Horus Heresy to millenia spent in exile across the warp
    – Bloody artwork featuring gruesome depictions of World Eaters slaking their fury across the galaxy

  • Orks Codex

Amid constant, seething tides of war and bloodshed, burgeoning greenskin empires rise and fall. Numerous beyond belief and driven always to fight and conquer, the Orks threaten to overwhelm every single galactic empire, stronghold and race. While their thirst for battle has always proved their downfall, causing brutal infighting that keeps them from crushing all opposition, occasionally a great leader rises who is capable of unifying the squabbling tribes, and soon a Waaagh! is underway – partially a migration, partially a holy war. When the Orks are on the rampage, the galaxy trembles – and in these dark times, more Waaaghs! are rising than ever before.

Codex: Orks contains a wealth of background and rules – the definitive book for Orks collectors. Within this 136-page hardback, you’ll find:

    - The Barbarous Hordes: the history, motivations and beliefs of the Orks – a race that has avoided the angst-ridden trappings of other, more philosophical creatures by simply drawing contentment from hitting everything.
    - The Green Menace: an overview of Ork society and ecology, theories on exactly how their numbers increase so quickly and details of their hangers-on – the Gretchin and Snotlings who perform menial tasks in exchange for protection.
    - Greenskin Kultur: detailing Ork hierarchy, their excellence in warfare and their desire for speed and dakka, this section demonstrates the Ork way of life.
    - The Ork Gods: Gork (brutal but kunnin’) and Mork (kunnin’ but brutal), gods honoured by destruction, and evoked by huge armoured war-suits designed to smash stuff up.
    - Details of Ork tribes and clans, with descriptions, background and heraldry for the following: Goffs, Evil Sunz, Blood Axes, Deathskulls, Bad Moons, Snakebites, and Freebooterz.
    - A selection of Ork glyphs – a list of pictorials and their meanings to help you kustomise your own Ork collection.
    - Gathering the Waaagh!: war on an apocalyptic scale, Waaaghs! can swallow entire civilisations whole, gathering strength and size with every shot fired and every punch thrown. This section explains how they spontaneously erupt around particularly strong leaders.
    - A galactic map showing the drastic greenskin expansion, with enormous Waaaghs! picked out in an appropriately green hue.
    - A timeline of major events and battle in Ork history.
    - Background on each unit available to an Ork army.
