Aeldari

Aeldari

Lost in the vastness of space, the craftworlds float in utter isolation like scattered jewels upon a pall of velvet. Distant from the warmth of sun or planet, their domes gaze into the darkness of empty space. Within them live the survivors of a civilisation abandoned long ago amidst terrifying destruction. These are the Aeldari, a race that is all but extinct, the last remnants of a people whose mere dreams once overturned worlds and quenched suns.

  • Aeldari: Autarch

Autarchs are renowned for their strategic brilliance, sublime martial skill and indomitable strength of will. Long have they trodden the Path of the Warrior, wearing the ritual masks of countless Aspect Warriors and yet never once slipping into the trap of obsession. Instead, these peerless leaders now walk the Path of Command. Wielding a dizzying variety of wargear and tactics mastered across millennia of battle, they apply all that they have learned to their command of the Asuryani warhosts.

  • Aeldari: Avatar Of Khaine

An Avatar of Khaine is an ancient deity incarnate – a burning shard of Khaela Mensha Khaine, the Bloody-Handed God of the Aeldari. Awakened for battle, he marches through enemy fire without breaking stride, laughing cruelly as his weapon – the Wailing Doom – cleaves flesh and tastes the blood of his foes with each strike. The Avatar's mere presence incites a merciless rage in the Asuryani around him, his fearsome aura eradicating fear or hesitation in favour of a nigh insatiable murderlust. In these moments, the Aeldari seem transformed into a vision of the glorious and terrible conquerors who once ruled the galaxy.

This kit builds one Avatar of Khaine, who can be constructed with a choice of three different heads – a classic helmet with plume and headdress, a more martial helm with an ornate crest, or a bare head with a wild mane and flowing topknot. The Avatar's divine weapon, the Wailing Doom, can also be built in one of three forms – a gigantic sword, a vicious axe, or a sweeping spear, each marked with eldritch runes of power.

  • Aeldari: Dark Reapers

The skull-helmed visage of the Dark Reapers is a spine-chilling sight in itself. These Aspect Warriors exemplify the War God as Destroyer, and their formidable warsuits echo that of their founder, Maugan Ra. Dark Reapers unleash blistering firestorms with their long-range Reaper Launchers, whether using infantry-shredding starswarm missiles or armour-piercing starshot variants. These salvoes are chillingly accurate, thanks not only to advanced targeting systems, but also to the Dark Reapers' armour, which anchors them firmly to the ground while they fire, allowing them to devastate their foes from the safety of cover.

This kit builds one unit of Dark Reapers armed with reaper launchers, complete with their Exarch who can be built with a reaper launcher, shuriken cannon, aeldari missile launcher, or tempest launcher. The Exarch can be built holding a skull in their off-hand, and has a choice of four heads, while each Dark Reaper has a choice of helmeted or unhelmeted heads. • Aeldari: Guardians

So few in number are the Asuryani that every citizen must train for war, in case they should one day need to defend their craftworld. In times of peace these Aeldari pursue artistic and civic Paths, but when called upon, they don their war masks and take to the battlefield. This Guardian militia is a match even for elite Human soldiers, and supports the craftworld's Aspect Warriors as infantry, artillery gunners, or vehicle crews.

This kit builds 10 Guardian Defenders, accompanied by a Heavy Weapon Platform. Guardian Defenders are versatile support troops, suited to holding objectives as they unleash withering hails of fire from their shuriken catapults. • Aeldari: Maugan Ra

Maugan Ra, also known as the Harvester of Souls, is the Phoenix Lord of the Dark Reapers – among the most grim and foreboding Aspects of the Asuryani. A master at killing from a distance, Maugan Ra wields the Maugetar. This scythe-like weapon fires mind-linked shuriken discs large enough to decapitate a swathe of foes before vanishing into nothingness. Should the enemy survive this barrage, they will meet a swift end on the curved edge of the Maugetar's built-in reaping blade.

This kit builds Maugan Ra, the Harvester of Souls, armed with the deadly shuriken cannon Maugetar. Able to deliver the kiss of death from leagues away or cut down hordes of enemies like so much tall grass, Maugan Ra is a silent whirlwind of violence, the physical embodiment of the inevitability of death, and a powerful addition to any Aeldari army.

  • Aeldari: Rangers

The Rangers are Outcast warriors, wanderers who left the regimented lives of the craftworlds behind them. Adepts in the arts of stealth warfare, marksmanship, and tracking enemies through harsh terrain, the Rangers aid their brethren as scouts and snipers. Veiled by cameleoline cloaks and gloom field generators, they can hide from their foes even in plain sight as they pick them off one by one from extreme range.

This kit builds five Aeldari Rangers, stealthy scouts armed with precise Ranger long rifles, perfect for sniping key targets. Each Ranger has two build options for a variety of poses, including using binoculars and aiming shuriken pistols, while one Ranger can be posed deploying a gloom field or wireweave net. There is a choice of 11 heads for the unit: 3 helmeted, 3 helmeted with hoods up, 3 male heads, and 2 female heads. • Aeldari: Shining Spears

Aeldari mythology is replete with noble heroes at one with their steeds, and in the Shining Spears, the glories of legend are made manifest. These Aspect Warriors live to joust, which they do at breathtaking speeds upon their jetbike mounts. Their chosen weapon is the long and formidable laser lance, which uses a powerful energy blast to burn an opening in the target – instants before the bulk of the weapon slams home with devastating, piercing force.

This kit builds one unit of Shining Spears, each armed with a laser lance and riding a jetbike equipped with twin shuriken catapults. One model can be built as a Shining Spears Exarch, who can be armed with a star lance or paragon sabre as well as a protective shimmershield. • Aeldari: Shroud Runners

Streaking into battle at speeds that render them barely visible to human eyes, Shroud Runners effortlessly outmanoeuvre their enemies while harassing them with pinpoint sniper fire. Each jetbike acts as the mount for a pair of skilled Aeldari Rangers, the pillion rider often entering a marksman’s trance so as to aim and fire while travelling at incredible velocity.

This kit builds three Shroud Runners – jetbike-mounted scouts that excel at disrupting enemy lines with their Ranger long rifles and scatter lasers. Options are included to construct riders in alternate poses – one pillion rider can be built firing a shuriken pistol or looking through binoculars, while one pilot can be assembled aiming a shuriken pistol or throwing an Aeldari tracking device as they steer their bike. • Aeldari: Warlocks

Seers who once trained as Aspect Warriors find it easier to develop destructive psychic powers. These Aeldari are known as Warlocks, and frequently band together in conclaves to pool their eldritch power, or else guide other Aeldari squads such as Guardians from the front. The warlocks bolster their warhost and wreak havoc on the foe by casting the Runes of Battle, and are equally skilled in combat, whether carving up enemies with their elegant witchblades or unleashing bolts of energy with their singing spears.

Warlocks are versatile psychic warriors, capable of supporting allies, cursing enemies, and lending power to allied Farseers. They can be included in your Aeldari army as individual characters, or taken as a unit of multiple psykers. This kit allows you to build one Warlock with an elegant witchblade, and one Warlock with a energy-infused singing spear, with a variety of arm options letting you create unique poses, plus a choice of two helmeted and two unhelmeted heads.

  • Craftworlds Spiritseer

Spiritseers are those upon the Witch Path who are called to commune with the dead – a chilling concept, even amongst the Asuryani. Although their main task is to shepherd wraithbone constructs to battle, a Spiritseer can also use their psychic abilities to aid the greater Asuryani warhost. By their eldritch powers are friendly troops enshrouded in mist, or foes illuminated or struck down with mystic bolts of energy.

A Spiritseer is an HQ choice available to the Craftworld Aeldari – known as the Asuryani – though they can also be called upon to join the Ynnari. Each is a skilled psyker on the battlefield, able to wield powers from the Ruins of Battle discipline. They work especially well alongside Spirit Host units such as Wraithguard and towering Wraithknights, where the Spiritseer’s otherworldly Spirit Mark will enhance the accuracy of the mighty ghost warriors.

  • Eldar Striking Scorpions

The Warrior Aspect of the Warhammer 40,000 Striking Scorpion epitomises the deadly attributes of their namesake, and they are the most potent of all the close assault aspects. They are merciless killers without exception, revelling in the hunt and the kill. When they launch their attack, they use shuriken pistols and scorpion chainswords; vicious blades with diamond-toothed edges that mangle and tear flesh. The signature attack of the Striking Scorpions is made by the weapon pods housed on either side of the warrior's helmet, known as mandiblasters. Activated by a psychic pick-up, they fire a hail of needle-thin shards that act as a conductor for a highly charged laser. A mandiblaster volley and the blistering storm of attacks from the Scorpions that follow it is enough to tear the heart out of an enemy force.

This Warhammer 40,000 boxed set contains six Eldar Striking Scorpions. These models are finely detailed resin cast miniatures. They are supplied as 14 separate components and come with six 25mm Round Bases. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly - we recommend using Games Workshop Super Glue and Games Workshop Paints.

  • Eldar Warp Spiders

The Warp Spiders Aspect Warriors are the epitome of aggressive defence. Using a compact warp-generator housed within their armoured backpack, they can make short warp-jumps, disappearing and reappearing in the blink of an eye. This makes them the perfect ambush unit and many a foe has suddenly found themselves surrounded by heavily armoured Aeldari intent on destruction. The ritual armament of the Warp Spiders is the death spinner; a highly advanced weapon that extrudes a thick cloud of razor-sharp monofilament wire. The tension within the wire, combined with the magnetic containment field of the gun sets the wire into blurry motion, whereupon it will slash through flesh and bone with shocking ease.

This boxed set contains five Aeldari Warp Spiders. These models are finely detailed resin cast miniatures. They are supplied as seven separate components and come with five 25mm Round Bases. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly - we recommend using Citadel Super Glue and Citadel Paints.
