The Adeptus Custodes are demigods of war, sworn to defend the Emperor to their last breath. In this dark and dangerous age, that mission compels them away from Holy Terra and out into the stars, for no longer can they stand upon the ramparts of the Imperial Palace and watch the galaxy burn. They are the most elite warriors in the Imperium, clad in auramite armour and wielding some of the finest weapons ever created by Mankind. Whether teleporting into the heart of battle, storming to war aboard ancient Land Raiders or streaking through the skies astride Dawneagle jetbikes, the Custodians are death incarnate to their enemies. Alongside them fight the Sisters of Silence, a secretive order of psychic blanks to whom falls the task of protecting the Imperium from rogue psykers and sorcerers. Together, they are the Talons of the Emperor, and where they take to the field no foe of the Emperor can stop them.

This mighty tome contains pages of background and rules dedicated to the Emperor's most elite guardians – the Adeptus Custodes. Discover the history and hierarchy of the Talons of the Emperor, and the legendary heroes that have stood by the Emperor's side for over 10,000 years, as well as the myriad ways they wage war in Terra's name.

Inside the 104-page hardback book, you'll find:

  • Codex: Genestealer Cults

The Genestealer Cults erupt from the shadows in a tide of mutated acolytes, turncoat soldiery and predatory xenos monsters. They employ ambush and subterfuge to outmanoeuvre their enemies, turning industrial mining equipment and repurposed civilian vehicles into potent weapons of rebellion against the hated Imperial oppressors. Propaganda, mind control and assassination are all weapons in their arsenal. Irredeemably corrupted by Tyranid gene-taint, the cults fight with the coordination of swarming insects and the zealotry of true believers, convinced that they are freedom fighters whose heroic efforts will earn them divine rewards. In truth, they are agents of destabilisation and anarchy – living weapons seeded behind enemy lines to spread, multiply and undermine Humanity’s fight against the encroaching Tyranid hive fleets. As the Genestealer Cults raise their wyrm-form icons above the blazing skylines of ever more Imperial planets, it becomes apparent that this ghastly plan is working all too well…

This glorious book contains pages of background and rules for the Genestealer Cults – the insurgent vanguard of the Tyranid Hive fleets. Learn all about the lifecycle of a cult, and how they worm their way into Imperial society, sowing discontent and leading rebelious uprisings in order to soften the planet's defences for the arrival of the Great Devourer.

Inside this 112-page hardback book, you'll find:

    - In-depth background and lore on the Genestealer Cults, how they take over planets and prepare them for the Great Devourer, plus their infestation of Chalnath.
    - Rousing artwork that will inspire your cults to acts of exemplary sedition
    - All the rules you need to play your Genestealer Cults army, including 22 datasheets covering every unit from the Reductus Saboteur to the lowly Acoylte and venerated Patriarch
    - A full suite of rules for playing Crusade and narrative games, including Agendas, Battle Traits, Requisitions, Crusade Relics, plus rules for following the Path to Ascension, letting you foster your very own Cult uprising
    - An 'Eavy Metal miniatures showcase full of lovingly painted Genestealer Cults miniatures.

  • Horus Heresy: The Age of Darkness

An Age of Darkness has descended upon the galaxy. Horus Lupercal, Warmaster of the Emperor's armies, has turned against his gene-father and sent the Imperium spiralling into bloody civil war. Of the eighteen great Space Marine Legions, finest of all humanity's soldiers, fully half have sided with the traitorous Warmaster, while the remainder stand staunchly loyal to the Emperor. It is a war of brother against brother, Space Marine against Space Marine, which has seen the might of the Imperium's vast armies turned upon itself in a cataclysm of fire and blood.

  • Legiones Astartes: Special Weapons Upgrade Set

Tactical Support Squads replace the utilitarian bolter of their comrades with more specialised weapons, enabling a Legiones Astartes strike force to act with even more versatility and engage a wider range of targets on its own terms. Each of the armaments used by Tactical Support Squads has its place – flamers are ideal for clearing bunkers, trenches, and urban zones, while rapid-firing rotor cannons see use against hordes of lightly-armoured foes. Meltaguns provide bursts of thermic energy for tank-busting, and volatile plasma guns can melt even heavily-armoured elites. Arcane volkite weapons – both the volkite caliver and lighter volkite charger – sear through targets with beams of thermal energy.

This plastic upgrade kit can be used to equip Legionaries from the MKVI Tactical Squad set with powerful special weapons, suitable for use in a Legion Tactical Support Squad. The kit includes 10 flamers, 10 plasma guns, 10 meltaguns, 10 rotor cannons, 10 volkite chargers, and 10 volkite calivers, allowing you to upgrade up to three full MKVI Tactical Squad sets into six Tactical Support Squads of 10 models, or 12 units of five models. The kit includes five slightly different designs for each type of special weapon, ensuring your Legionaries will remain distinct when massed on the battlefield.

This upgrade kit comprises 100 plastic components and is designed to be assembled with the MKVI Tactical Squad set, which is sold separately. These components are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel paints.

You will need a copy of the Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Age of Darkness Rulebook and either the Liber Astartes: Loyalist Legiones Astartes Army Book or Liber Hereticus: Traitor Legiones Astartes Army Book to make full use of these upgrades.

  • Legiones Astartes: Sicaran Battle Tank

The Sicaran is one of the most advanced armoured units in the arsenal of the Legiones Astartes, a fast-moving destroyer tank designed to outflank enemy formations before unleashing an overwhelming onslaught of mid-range firepower. Though its chassis supports a number of variants fielded throughout the Legions, the core Sicaran battle tank remains a versatile favourite. Armed with Herakles-pattern accelerator autocannons, it provides high-volume, high-velocity fire support that can rip through infantry and vehicles alike – its sophisticated sensors tracking swift-moving targets and pinpointing vulnerabilities in enemy armour.

This multipart plastic kit builds one Sicaran Battle Tank, a high-speed vehicle armed with a set of turret-mounted accelerator autocannons. The Sicaran also sports a hull-mounted heavy bolter, as well as a pair of sponson weapons – your choice of heavy bolters, heavy flamers, lascannons, or volkite culverins. The kit includes components to upgrade this vehicle with a pintle-mounted weapon – a havoc launcher, heavy bolter, heavy flamer, multi-melta, or a combi-weapon with five configurations (bolter, flamer, melta, plasma, or volkite) – as well as a searchlight, a hunter-killer missile, and cosmetic options such as towing hooks, a dozer blade, and a choice of a Space Marine gunner, spotter, or closed hatch.

This kit comprises 204 plastic components, and is supplied with a Legiones Astartes Vehicle Transfer Sheet containing 44 optional markings and icons for the Sons of Horus and Imperial Fists Legions. This miniature is supplied unpainted and requires assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel paints.

Little do either team realise that their rivals are far from the only danger waiting within…
