This Team Yankee Box includes three resin and metal 2S1 Gvozdika ('Carnation') 122mm Self-propelled Howitzers and one Unit Card. The 2S1 Carnation is a Soviet 122-mm self-propelled 2A18 howitzer.
The 2S1 is fully amphibious with very little preparation, and once afloat is propelled by its tracks. A variety of wider tracks are also available to allow the 2S1 to operate in snow or swamp conditions. The interior is separated into a driver's compartment on the left, an engine compartment on the right and a fighting compartment to the rear.

The BMP-1 is a Soviet amphibious tracked infantry fighting vehicle. BMP stands for Boyevaya Mashina Pekhoty 1, meaning "infantry fighting vehicle". The BMP-1 was the first mass-produced infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) of USSR.
The late war Soviet Decals pack offers a great deal of variety to anybody building a Soviet Flames Of War force. This set contains four different sheets covering many types of Soviet vehicle markings. Sheet 1 comes with a selections of two digit serif font number, great for anything from T-34 tanks to heavy IS-2 tanks and ISU assault guns. On this same sheet you will find some Polish Eagles for those of you interested in modelling your T-34 tanks as those operated by the Polish forces raised by the Soviet Union. The third element of this sheet are white stars, which were often used instead of red stars. Sheet 2 comes with smaller serif font numbers arranged in four digits. However, you can always slice them up into two or three numbers if you desire. This sheet also included five different slogans for placing on tank turrets or assault gun hulls. The finally option on this sheet are some diamond shaped tactical numbers, which are sometimes found on the sides of tank turrets and other armoured vehicles. Sheet 3 is covered in multiples of 12 different slogans, giving you plenty of variety. The final and fourth sheet comes with two different sized red stars and guards badges for putting on your tank turrets.
The Ilyushin Il-2 Shturmovik was a ground attack aircraft produced by the Soviet Union in large numbers. Thanks to its heavy armour protection it was nicknamed the "Flying Tank" and an Il-2 could take a great deal of punishment, proving a difficult target for both ground and aircraft fire to down. The Il-2 played a crucial role on the Eastern Front and in Soviet opinion it was the most decisive aircraft in the history of modern land warfare.

The Mi-24 Hind is a large helicopter gunship, attack helicopter and low-capacity troop transport with room for eight passengers. It is produced by Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant and has been operated since 1972 by the Soviet Air Force and its successors, along with more than 30 other nations. Soviet pilots called the Mi-24 the "flying tank"

The SA-13 Gopher, called Strela-10 (Arrow‑10) by its Russian crews, is a tracked, amphibious Surface-to-Air Missile (SAM) system. It replaced the wheeled SA-9 Gaskin which could not keep up with tanks in rough terrain. The missiles have both optical and infra-red guidance, with a radar system to check that the target is in range.
The Soviet 11th Guards Army (11-ya Gvardeyskaya Armiya) and 31st Army (31ya Armiya) fell upon Orsha on 26 June 1944. A solitary Soviet tank brigade from the 2nd Tank Corps swept around to the west of the city, completing the encirclement. The German remnants of General Volkers’ 27th Army Corps were now trapped inside the city and prepared for a tenacious defence of the city centre.

Following the classic Soviet doctrine, the T-72 was easy to manufacture, simple to use, robust, and reliable. It mounted a powerful 125mm gun with an autoloader to replace the loader, producing a compact and relatively light tank with a significantly greater level of armour protection, powered by a reliable, tried and tested engine.

The T-80 series of tanks was the culmination of a 30 year project to design and field a Soviet turbine-powered tank. The updated T-80U had a more powerful 1250hp turbine engine, wider tracks and mounted Kontakt-5 explosive reactive armour. It is faster, more maneuverable and better armoured than any other Soviet tank in service.

The SU-100 self-propelled gun was the successor to the SU-85. It was based on a similar, but not identical, chassis mounting a 100mm D-10S gun. This excellent gun could penetrate 162mm of armour at 500 meters and 150mm at 1000 meters range.

The Spitfire IX was developed as a stopgap measure to counter the Luftwaffe’s Focke-Wulf 190. The T-64 tank was a second generation tank design that first entered service in 1967 to replace the older first generation tanks. It features many innovative design features.
Artillery and aircraft are not precision weapons. Their shells and bombs blanket a wide area, possibly wiping out dozens of the enemy at a time. Artillery and Salvo Templates make it easy to work out who is hit and who isn’t. There are two sizes of template available in the Team Yankee game: Artillery (6”/15cm square) and Salvo (10”/25cm square) depending on the ROF rating of the weapons firing. Hall of Heroes: The Grand Vestibule is the massive ruined entrance section of a circular tower, rotunda or acropolis. From end to end the remnant is just over 11 inches wide and is 10 inches high at its tallest point. The two story structure opens out onto a small balcony above the doorway. The Grand Vestibule may be combined with other pieces in the Hall of Heroes collection to mark out a larger ruined building or stands alone as an imposing piece of terrain.

The Tiger II promised to return the German heavy panzer to the early days of 1943 when the original Tiger I E tank dominated the battlefield. It was armed with an even longer 8.8cm gun (8.8cm KwK43 L/71) which could destroy enemy armour at long range with ease. Its thick front armour makes it invulnerable to most Allied guns, while its substantial side armour makes it ideal for assaulting its way through fortified enemy defences.
On 20th June 1942 Italian and German forces attacked the British fortifications around Tobruk, key city that sat astride the supply lines for both sides. Two Italian infantry divisions launched deversionary attacks from the west, while armoured units massed in the east with more Italian infantry ready to follow up the breakthrough. The fight for Tobruk was one of the many critical battles that determined the fate of North Africa.
