ALEPH is the unique Artificial Intelligence controlling the data networks and technological systems of the entire Human Sphere. ALEPH is humanity’s great ally, and without it, intergalactic socio-political and economical systems would fall apart almost instantly. But, who can know what ALEPH really thinks?

Its representatives will tell you that for the AI, the Sphere is its home and its responsibility: that which it was created to help and with which it will walk towards the future, putting all its efforts to Humanity’s service. Its detractors, the Nomad Nation, will assure you that for ALEPH the Sphere is a playground, a puppet theatre to manipulate, a simple means to a singular end, which is total domination by ALEPH itself.

  • Agema Marksmen (Multi Sniper Rifle)

Infinity by Corvus Belli Blister with 1 miniature: Agema Marksmen (MULTI Sniper Rifle) Agema Marksmen have been designed to have an almost superhuman ability to aim. Since the moment of their conception in the Lhost breeding pods, every Agema is modified to have sharp eyesight and an immovably steady hand. In Ancient Greece, the Agema were an elite guard, and their current namesakes are no less. Their mission is to allow the forces of the Assault Subsection to engage in combat with the enemy and accomplish their mission, eliminating any threat that may appear on the way to their goal. Hidden adversaries, ordnance pieces, long range support weapons all are natural targets for the Agema. Nobody is safe on the battlefield when an Agema has a clear line of sight. But make no mistake; these are not the cold sharp shooters of the Operations Subsection. The Agema belong to the Assault Subsection and this can be seen in their combat behavior as they count and sing out each and every kill they make in a constant competition. This culminates in the glorification of the best of them at the end of the battle, marking his tally as the count to beat in the next battle.

  • Dactyls Steel Phalanx Support Corps

The Support Corps of the Assault Subsection of the SSS is composed entirely of specialists, both combat engineers and field medics. The Steel Phalanx was conceived as a purely offensive force, but the stagnation of the Paradiso conflict spread the always scarce Sophotects too thinly, forcing the SSS to create a new support unit capable of keeping up with the rest of its heroic troops.

In Greek Mythology, the supernatural beings called Dactyls (in Ancient Greek ‘Fingers’) were magical smiths and healers who discovered iron and metalworking. Their Phalanx counterparts are all master demolishers. Explosives are their forte and very few troops in the Sphere can boast their level of proficiency with D-Charges and plastic.

They have blasted bridges and facilities and mined roads on every Paradiso front. They can repair gear and treat their fallen brothers in arms, but their ability to fulfil their objective under enemy fire is not what makes them a valuable asset to the SSS. Dactyls shine in the finesse they demonstrate in the exercise of their job, be it an emergency surgery in the middle of the battlefield or a controlled demolition. Their nimble fingers make only the most precise movements and their full attention is on the desired outcome, whether an in extremis rescue from the clutches of death or an explosion to collapse the entire building.

  • Hector, Homerid Champion (Heavy Pistol, EXP CCW)

Hector in Greek mythology is the son of the Kings of Troy and commander of the city's troops. He was the greatest of all Trojan warriors and would only fall before the wrath of Achilles; his death signals the end of The Iliad.

Hector was defined by Homer as the counterpoint of Achilles, a calm hero, lover of peace, yet brave and willing to sacrifice his own life to defend his people. During the Middle Ages the figure of Hector personified the authentic, knightly ideal.

Notes from Thamyris the Aoidos to the SSS Information Service: "He moved with blinding speed, charging ahead with all his might while avoiding attacks with the skill of a lifetime dedicated to war. His armor made even more powerful the fire that burns inside his body and bestowed it with prodigious force and divine speed. He was astonishing. He sensed the strike and explosion before they arrived with the experience of a veteran fighter. He moved with the speed and fury of... I can't even begin to describe it... I saw there how a single man defeated an entire army. However, the most amazing thing about that endless battle was his indefatigable leadership. His incomparable honor and courage were exactly what those men needed to resist. Hector never doubted. He always knew what he had to do to protect the crew of the frigate, and his life seemed to be a small price for it. How incredibly essential was his pure, intense courage. How different everything would have been if he hadn't been there to guide us during the battle. Without Hector, the frigate Iliad would have succumbed to the enemy, but he knew how to take the victory away from the adversary, a victory that will never be forgotten."

Hector is currently the second in command of the Homeridae. Nobody could argue against this nomination: not just for his track record but also for his own skills. The way he carries himself, his firm glance and toughness convey self-confidence and an inner strength forged in battle after battle, as if he were an ancient warrior far from home. However, it is his charisma and intelligence when devising tactics and putting them into practice that has helped him earn his position as a leader of the Steel Phalanx. Hector is capable of analyzing any possible situation that arises on the battlefield instantly, and is completely relentless when the time comes to engage the enemy in combat. He is the true warrior/strategist that ALEPH needs to destroy the EI.
