Many gamers use Games Workshop static grass to base their models. Simply paint the base of the model and when the paint is dry paint a layer of Games Workshop PVA glue over the base and put the top of the base in some Games Workshop static grass for a few seconds. Take it out and tap the base to get rid of any excess static grass.

The basing material in this tub is a shade of brown designed to look like fire damaged grass.
