The Foot Guards had a long and distinguished service career in the British army. They take their duty as the Royal Family guard very seriously. The Guardsmen of the infantry battalions supply the tanks with excellent protection too; these troops cleared out enemy strongpoints of anti-tank weapons, keeping the tanks moving forward. Positioned towards the front of the column, as soon as the enemy is contacted, the infantry dismount and clear out any threats.
