  • Nightvault Arcane Hazards

    A major feature of the Warhammer Underworlds game boards is blocked and lethal hexes – the former are impassable obstacles that can create chokepoints and block line of sight, while the latter are dangerous terrain that, when a model is pushed in, prove fatal. One of the keys to becoming a master of the game and dominating every warband you face off against is learning how to use them to your advantage – the Arcane Hazards are a set of plastic tiles providing a 3-dimensional visual representation of these hexes, making it a little more obvious at a glance where these game-changing areas of the board are.

    6 hex tiles are included, each a push-fit model on teal-coloured plastic:

    - A throne;
    - A pyre of skulls;
    - A set of 3 sinister triangular ruins, floating above the ground and secured by chains;
    - A set of 2 triangular ruins with smoke running between them, a skull grinning from within;
    - A broken statue featuring an icon of Nagash, Supreme Lord of the Undead;
    - A set of creepers emerging from the cracked ground below.

    This kit is supplied as 17 components.

  • Warhammer Underworlds: Nightvault

    Warhammer Underworlds: Nightvault is an action-packed combat game for two players. Build your warband, construct your deck, and defeat your rivals.

    Shadespire was once a city of wonder and magic, a mercantile metropolis whose rulers defied death, to the fury of Nagash. During the height of the city’s powers, rivals, thieves and would-be conquerors were locked away in the sprawling dungeon known as the Nightvault. After the city’s fall, Nagash broke open the chains that bound the shackled spirits within, giving them weapons to freeze the hearts of the living and enough memory of their torment to fill them with hatred and jealousy. The spectral dead delight in the chance to inflict this hatred upon the living, and the streets of Shadespire echo to the sounds of terrifying screams and cruel, mocking laughter...

    The Game

    In Warhammer Underworlds, you and your opponent pick a warband – 2 are included in this box – and build a deck of power and objective cards. After placing your warband on the hex-tiled game boards, you take turns making actions – movement and attacks – until 3 phases are played. Between actions, you can use the power cards to introduce effects and reactions that can swing the battle in your favour; building the best deck you can and using cunning to deploy these abilities at the perfect time is the secret to mastering the game and dominating your foe. Merely vanquishing your opponent’s warband does not guarantee victory – capturing objectives, standing your ground, making the best tactical choices and deploying the right cards at the right time will gain you the glory points you need to win!

    Once you’re familiar with the rules, games will take around 30 minutes – you’ll always have time for a rematch.

    In The Box

    Everything you and a friend need to play games of Warhammer Underworlds is included in this box. Contained within:

    - A Stormcast Eternals warband – Stormsire’s Cursebreakers – made up of 3 push-fit, blue plastic miniatures (Rastus the Charmed, Ammis Dawnguard and the leader, Averon Stormsire);
    - A Nighthaunt warband – the Thorns of the Briarqueen – made up of 7 push-fit, bone-coloured plastic miniatures (The Ever-Hanged, Varclav the Cruel, the leader Briar Queen and 4 Chainrasps whom Nagash has not afforded the dignity of names). Both of these warbands are Easy To Build, with no glue necessary and a comprehensive, easy to follow construction guide;
    - A 32-page rulebook, including the story of Shadespire’s rise and fall, the opening of the Nightvault, the background of the 2 included warbands and all the rules you need to play – including new scatter mechanics, rules for resolving magic spells, and the use of lethal hexes, sections of game board that are fatal to those pushed in;
    - An 8-page quick start guide, covering the contents of the box, understanding your cards, movement and attacks, and playing your first game;
    - 2 double-sided game boards, featuring hexes and objectives;
    - 2 pre-built decks of power and objective cards – 96 in total – for use with the included warbands;
    - 10 double-sided Fighter cards, providing the stats and information needed for the fighters in each warband at a glance;
    - 5 attack dice, 3 defence dice and 3 magic dice;
    - 11 double-sided objective tokens;
    - A scatter template;
    - 30 wound tokens;
    - 46 double-sided glory point tokens;
    - 15 double-sided move and charge tokens;
    - 15 Guard tokens;
    - 8 activation counters.

    Extra Rules

    Warhammer Underworlds has an intense, fast and fun core ruleset, but the book contains a host of extras - new game modes, competitive and multiplayer rules:

    - Matched Play: designed for competitive play, this is a set of rules that level the playing field to the finest degree – perfect for fast, friendly rivalries and tournaments;
    - Multiplayer games: extra rules that allow you to combine 2 core sets of Warhammer Underworlds to create 3-or-4-player games, with clarified rules for resolving attacks and adjustments to victory conditions.

    Also included is a glossary for quick and easy reference and a sample chapter of The Mirrored City, a Black Library novel set in Shadespire.

  • Beast Herdstone

    Wherever the Beasts of Chaos roam, they erect enormous megaliths called Herdstones. Wrought from the warp-infused substance of the realm in which they stand, Herdstones mark a beastherd’s territory and serve as the focal point for their anarchic bacchanals. A fusion of nature and Chaos, they spread a malign influence, crumbling the trappings of civilisation to dust and inspiring the Beasts of Chaos to fight with increased, unfailing vigour.

    This multi-part plastic kit contains the components necessary to assemble a Herdstone. This scenery piece acts as a ritual megalith, imbuing nearby Beasts of Chaos with extra fury and rage. It is depicted as a tall rock, with beastlike faces and runes carved into the sides, skulls and bones lashed around with rope and an enormous, graven animal skull dominating the top of the structure, with large horns made from scavenged wood finishing the whole Herdstone off. At its base is a pile of skulls, which have been ignited; strewn around those are a variety of looted weapons, armour, trinkets and yet more skulls, the prizes of the Beasts of Chaos’ grisly excursions. 2 chains tether the Herdstone to the ground in front, with wooden stakes at the back providing stability.

    Rules for using this scenery piece as part of your Beasts of Chaos army are included as a Warscroll in the box, and are also found in Battletome: Beasts of Chaos.

  • Beasts of Chaos: Endless Spells

    The cataclysmic necroquake of Shyish has flooded the Mortal Realms with the powers of the aether. Incantations summon forth new conjurations of unprecedented power and frightful sentience, but beware – such endless spells can be treacherous, as likely to turn upon their caster as they are to devastate the enemy. From unleashing disembodied gnashing jaws to devour your foes, to raising prismatic barricades to protect your flanks, doing battle in the time of the Arcanum Optimar is unlike anything that has come before.

    This multi-part plastic kit contains the components necessary to assemble 3 Endless Spells usable by Beasts of Chaos wizards in games of Warhammer Age of Sigmar. When used with the Malign Sorcery rules, these can be incredibly powerful tools in your magical arsenal. Included:

    - A Wildfire Taurus: a gargantuan flaming bull which stampedes through enemies without breaking stride, setting flesh ablaze and crushing those not consumed by the conflagration;
    - A Doomblast Dirgehorn: animal bones drawn out from the earth and fused into the shape of a giant horn which blasts a dolorous dirge capable of stripping the minds of those within earshot;
    - A Ravening Direflock: this is a murder of 6 spectral crows, circling the battlefield and harrying those who try to flee the carnage with unending, dispiriting caws.

    This kit comes as 25 components supplied on brown-coloured plastic, and includes 4 Citadel 40mm Round bases and a Citadel 70mm Oval base. Warscrolls are found in Battletome: Beasts of Chaos.

  • Knight Preceptor Canis Rex

    The Knight Preceptor is a Questoris-class close-ranged powerhouse. Its design is intended to exemplify the core tenets of the Code Chivalric in battle: close with the enemy in honourable range, engage them with sufficient force to show respect for their fortitude, and kill them quickly and cleanly in the Emperor’s name. To this end, they are armed with a reaper chainsword or thunderstrike gauntlet and the rare and terrifying las-impulsor. Canis Rex is a notable Knight Preceptor, who escaped the tortures of the Iron Warriors and has punished the scions of chaos with vehemence and fury ever since.

    This multi-part plastic kit contains the components necessary to build a Knight Preceptor. This is a serious bit of kit – it contains an entire Imperial Knight Warden kit, along with an extra 37 components which upgrade the basic Knight into the Preceptor – and, optionally, the specific named Preceptor Canis Rex. These components can be broken down as follows:

    - A frame of Imperial Knight carapace components,including the carapace itself, engine block assembly, shoulder pads, shoulder joints, 2 sets of carapace heraldry and a heavy stubber;
    - A frame of Imperial Knight leg components, including the leg and feet assemblies, greaves, waist assembly, chestplates, 2 faceplates, a pennant, tilting plate and armour plates for the knees and groin;
    - A frame of Imperial Knight weapons, including a thermal cannon, rapid-fire battlecannon, heavy stubber, 2 alternate faceplates, and torso assembly;
    - An Imperial Knight Warden frame, including a thunderstrike gauntlet, avenger gatling cannon, carapace mounted twin icarus autocannon, carapace mounted missile launcher with the choice of either ironstorm, shieldbreaker, or stormspear missile pods, meltagun, 3 alternate faceplates, and tilting plate.

    Using those frames to build the basic Imperial Knight structure with either a reaper chainsword or thunderstrike gauntlet, the following is used to complete the Knight Preceptor:

    - A frame of Knight Preceptor components, including the las-impulsor assembly, a unique faceplate, a multi-laser which mounts just beneath the left-front of the carapace, an alternate piece of heraldry for the carapace, 6 wolf head gargoyles, a knee pad with sculpted sword and chain, a cockpit assembly – this fits within the carapace, and can be modelled open to show the throne and control panels along with, if you choose, the seated pilot; a pilot on foot, carrying a power pack; and a unique tilting plate and pennant specific to the named Knight Canis Rex.

    This kit can be built as either a Knight Preceptor, Canis Rex, Errant, Paladin, Warden, Gallant or Crusader – the weapons are interchangeable and can be used as spares for any other Knight kits you might have.

    The Knight Preceptor is supplied as 250 components, and includes a Citadel 170mm Oval base, a Citadel 25mm Round base for the pilot on foot, and a transfer sheet featuring heraldry for Imperial Knights and heraldry specific to Canis Rex.

    The earth trembles as the beastherds approach. Plants wither and rot, animals are filled with an instinctual fear and the air grows thick with the taint of raw Chaos energy. Then the bloodthirsty braying begins. The Beasts of Chaos emerge from woodland knots and rocky outcrops, bellowing their savage battle cries as they fall upon their prey. They are the true children of Chaos, and through them anarchy and ruin are spread across the lands of the civilised races.

    In the 104-page hardback Battletome: Beasts of Chaos, you’ll find:

    - From the Wilderness They Come: an introduction to the Beasts of Chaos, savage and twisted creatures that spread anarchy throughout the Mortal Realms;
    - Primaeval Origins: the Beasts of Chaos pre-date even the earliest records by any scribe, and the oral traditions describing them have long faded into memory – but legends persist, and are presented here;
    - The True Children of Chaos: Beasts of Chaos’ inherent ferocity is not a gift bestowed by the Dark Gods, and nor is it due to enslavement – they embody Chaos in its purest and most anarchic form;
    - The Way of the Beast: while the Beasts of Chaos are as varied as the wildlands in which they gather, certain traits – violence, mercilessness and predation – are common to all;
    - Detailed explanations of the Greatfrays and beastherds of this faction, their motivations and (known) histories; - Annals of Entropy: a chronicle of the recorded events in which the full savagery and fury of the Beasts of Chaos was unleashed;
    - Gathering of the Greatfrays: explanation of the organisation of the Beasts of Chaos armies, including an example of how a particular beastherd is organised, along with descriptions of 7 legendary Greatfrays (Allherd, Darkwalkers, Gavespawn, Skullfrays, Twistfrays, Rotfrays and Slakefrays), including their heraldry and colour schemes - Explanation and background of each character and unit available to a Beasts of Chaos army;
    - A showcase of beautifully-painted Citadel miniatures, with an example army and comprehensive painting advice from the experts. This advice covers a huge variety of examples and techniques, showing you how to achieve effects like glowing runes, mutated flesh, horn striation, scales and liver spots, and add icons and beast markings to your miniatures. On top of this, there are step-by-step guides to the colour schemes of the following Greatfrays: Allherd, Gavespawn and Darkwalkers, as well as specific effects for each Chaos God.

  • Australian Matilda Mk II

    Although obsolete in the European theatre, the A12 Matilda II infantry tank’s heavy armour and proven weaponry were ideal against the lightly equipped Japanese forces in the Far East.

    The nature of the terrain precluded the large armoured formations experienced in North Africa. Instead, the Matilda-equipped Australian 4th Armoured Brigade was broken up and deployed as individual troops of three tanks in direct support to the infantry.

    The Australians made several field conversions to the standard A12 Matilda II, the two main additions being armoured guards fitted to the front tracks and protection against the turret ring becoming a shot trap.

    The Matilda Frog was a terrifying weapon, firing gouts of pressurised flame. Needing a 20-second pause between shots while the pressure built up again, it required close infantry support to prevent the tank being overrun by the enemy.

    This set contains all you need to build either a Matilda II with 2-pounder, Close Support with 3” howitzer or Frog flamethrower variants.

  • Afrika Korps MMG Team

    The Germans were equipped with two excellent machine guns in the MG34 and rapid-firing MG42 - known to Allied troops as 'Hitler's Buzz Saw' because of its distinctive noise, or 'Spandau'.

    Unlike other armies, the Germans used the same machine gun both as a squad weapon from its bipod and as a tripod-mounted support weapon. The tripod mounted provided a much more stable firing platform and made it easier to keep up a sustained fire using a belt feed.

  • Afrika Korps

    Sent to bolster their beleaguered Italian allies facing the combined forces of the British Commonwealth in North Africa, the Deutsches Afrika Korps proved a dangerous opponent. Commanded by the legendary Erwin Rommel, the Afrika Korps fought a series of ferocious battles in Egypt and Libya as each side pushed the other to breaking point.

    Fighting in what was referred to as the last 'Gentleman's War', the German soldier was well respected by those he faced, be they British, Australian, Indian or other nationalities. German tactics in the desert had a profound and deadly effect on how the British armour and infantry formations interacted with one another and these lessons were learnt for the later conflicts in North West Europe.

    The Afrika Korps foot troops were more than ably supported by the dreaded '88' (8.8cm Flak) gun as a direct fire weapon and the ubiquitous Panzer IV was developed into what the British troops referred to as the 'Pz IV special' - a tank the British tank commanders learnt to fear and respect in equal measure. Battles at El Alamein, Tobruk and Gazala honed their fighting capability, pushing the British High Command into changes that would bring eventual victory in the desert campaign.

    Supplied with a variety of headgear and weapon options Warlord Games' highly detailed and dynamically posed Afrika Korps are ideal for fighting in North Africa as well as into the Tunisian and the Italian campaigns.

    Afrika Korps set contains:

  • Western Desert Campaign Book

    When compared to the enormous campaigns waged on the Eastern Front and in Western Europe during World War II, the struggle in North Africa between the British Commonwealth and the Axis might seem an unimportant sideshow. However, its influence and impact were far-reaching and dictated many strategic decisions that influenced the course of the war.

    This Bolt Action campaign book will focus on the conflict in the area most commonly referred to as the Western Desert - a campaign theatre reaching from the Libyan city of Tripoli to Cairo, and the Egyptian Nile valley, a distance of some 1300 miles, a featuring some of the most hostile terrains on Earth.

    It covers a period of time from September 1940 when Mussolini's Italian Army invaded British-held Egypt to the final retreat of Rommel's Afrika Korps from Egypt during October 1942. During that period the conflict witnessed much hard fighting resulting in spectacular victories and the capture of territory, equipment and prisoners for both sides whilst also subjecting them to a series of demoralising retreats where final and irrevocable defeat seemed assured.

    The dust got into everything. Feldwebel Unger tied his handkerchief tighter across his nose and mouth, knowing it would make little difference, he could already feel the grit against his teeth. His platoon was sweeping across the steppes of the Eastern Ukraine, chasing the broken remnants of many Soviet armies. His Panzer IV had made it through a harsh winter and savage Red Army attacks around Kharkov, but now they were pushing back.

  • Reaver Battle Titan

    A gargantuan war machine, the Reaver Titan is one of the most common and destructive classes of Battle Titan. Armed with devastating weapons and able to crush enemies under its tread by the score, the ground shakes as the Reaver advances and the enemy is left with a choice: flee or die. Reavers are the heart of the Titan Legions, holding the line or leading the charge as their Princeps demand.

    This multi-part plastic kit contains the components necessary to assemble a Reaver Battle Titan for use in games of Adeptus Titanicus. Particularly aggressive-looking, even compared to its contemporaries, this highly-detailed Titan is easily recognised by its flattened face profile and angular carapace. It comes armed with several weapon options – a laser blaster and gatling blaster are available, with a power fist that can be modelled either clenched or open. Above the carapace – of which 2 are included, 1 blank – resides an apocalypse missile launcher, either side of which are the shoulder pads (3 sets are included, 1 set loyalist, 1 set traitor and 1 set blank.) Further modelling options include the knee pads – 2 of these are blank, with 1 depicting the symbol of the Opus Titanicus.

    This kit comes as 122 components, and is supplied with a Citadel 105mm Oval base along with a decal sheet – this features heraldry for the following Legios: Gryphonicus, Fureans, Astorium, Atarus, and Mortis.

    - Papa Nurgle’s Favoured Players: details and background on those teams dedicated to Nurgle, the most bizarrely cheerful of the Chaos gods. You’ll learn how they play, how they look and how they gleefully spread their rot and filth all over the pitch, with a focus on The Diseased Destroyers, Bile-City Blightkings, The Subterranean Slimeballs, and The Plaguebearers;

    - Chat With the Rat: ace Skaven reporter Hackspit ‘the Scribbler’ Quillchewer talks with Bilerot Vomitflesh about being a follower of Nurgle, and asks: just where is the Garden of Nurgle?;

    - Star Player Spotlight: – a detailed profile of Bilerot Vomitflesh, who can play for Nurgle and Chaos Chosen teams. Includes his in-game cost, stats and skills, and career ‘highlights’;

    - Dirt From the Dugout: Spike! Journal interviews gossip columnist Mindy Piewhistle about the rivalry between the Dark Gods, and learns maybe a little more than they’d like about some insidious locker room shenanigans;

    - Nurgle Playbook: an Introduction to coaching Nurgle teams, including an overview of the strengths of their team, advice on tactics, set-ups, and examples of the skills you can give to different positions.

    - Star Player Spotlight: a grisly profile of Bulla Shardhorn, a pox-ridden beast who can play for Chaos Renegade, and Nurgle teams. Includes his in-game cost, stats and skills, and career highlights;

    - Star Player Spotlight: a profile of Tolly Glocklinger, a former circus strongman (which is excellent) who can play for Nurgle teams. Includes his in-game cost, stats and skills, and career highlights;

    - The Glittering Prizes: an overview of the recent history of Blood Bowl taking a closer look at many of the minor leagues and tournaments that have sprung up after the collapse of the NAF, becoming regular fixtures;

    - Sideline Assistance: a trio of rotten new inducements for Nurgle, Chaos Chosen, and Chaos Renegade Blood Bowl teams. Plague Doctors, Cavorting Nurglings and Horticulturalists of Nurgle are available – none of them do anything especially pleasant…;

    - Mighty Blow!: tales of sporting glory from the career of all-time Star Player Bob Bifford, presented as an all-new comic strip drawn by the legendary Blood Bowl illustrator Pete Knifton, and written by official Spike! Journal sports-scribe Nick Kyme.

  • Nurgles Rotters

    The Rotters rose to fame long ago, having the distinction of being one of the earliest Chaos teams on the circuit to dedicate themselves to a single Chaos god – Grandfather Nurgle himself. Their patron was delighted, lavishing gifts and mutations upon his favoured followers. Today, despite numerous recent setbacks, the Rotters stand poised to once again spread their influence across the leagues and tournaments of the world, bringing Nurgle’s blessings to lands far and wide…

    This multi-part plastic kit contains the components necessary to assemble Nurgle’s Rotters, a particularly foul and dripsome Nurgle team for use in games of Blood Bowl. Appropriately putrid and ‘orrible, each player is mutated and pus-covered with exposed guts, claws and warts featuring heavily. The team consists of 4 Bloaters, 2 Pestigor and 6 Rotters.

    There are a host of extras in the kit – 2 turn markers, 2 double-sided score coins in the shape of Nurgle’s icon and 4 balls – 2 of these are being chomped upon by a cheeky Nurgling, and 2 have… something… emerging from them, all gribbly teeth and eldritch horror. Supplied with 12 32mm Blood Bowl bases, a 1,000,000 GP roster and a Nurgle transfer sheet.

The most fearsome of these monsters are savage Tyrannosaurus Zombies. • Kill Zone: Deathworld Forest

    Deadly, menacing and bizarre, forest deathworlds are attritional battle zones. When a soldier fights on one, they have to withstand not only the vicious artillery of the foe, but the horrifying cluster-vines, crystal shards and strange relics add an extra layer of unimaginable danger. Shardwrack spines form impenetrable barriers over the millennia, barbed venomgorse and grapple weed snake insidiously toward any living being, pumping them full of debilitating neurotoxin and eldritch ruins resonate with the psychic energies of their long-passed creators. Where there grows a deathworld forest, nothing is safe.

    The Death World Forest Killzone Environment is an expansion for Kill Team – in the packed box, you’ll find a gameboard, scenery, and exclusive rules that use the unique nature of Death World Forest terrain to introduce dangerous new missions and powerful effects to your games. Included:

  • Warriors of Rohan

    The men of Rohan are doughty folk, raised in a harsh land of moors, hills, and endless grassland. The warriors of this land fight for survival against a multitude of foes, from the Trolls and Orcs of the Misty Mountains, to the forces of the Dark Lord Sauron when they cross the Anduin into the Westfold. Many of them will ride into battle on warhorses, but many more cannot afford a noble steed and will instead fight on foot, making up the rank and file of the armies of Rohan. What these warriors lack in armour and skill, they make up for with courage and bloody minded determination - Rohan will never fall while they still protect its borders.

  • Easterling Kataphracts

    Easterlings are amongst the most fanatical followers of the Dark Lord and the best equipped of all the warriors at his command. Unlike the rabble of Orcs that spew forth from the Black Gate, the armies of the East are well-trained and disciplined warriors that will fight fiercely for Sauron, who they view as a vengeful deity. As children they are schooled in the art of war, and their womenfolk fight alongside the men as equals - in Rhûn all are prepared to fight for the Dark Lord. Easterling Kataphrakts are heavy cavalry - nigh unstoppable killing machines that will sweep enemy cavalrymen from their saddles and ride down unprepared foot soldiers like a scythe through wheat. They are the elite of the Easterling armed force, and an enemy general should be wary of their devastating charges.

Equipped with flame-forged armour and brutal blades from the forges of Isengard, the Uruk-hai march to war against the Free People of Middle-earth. • Warriors of the Dead

    In scattered and isolated places across Middle-earth, the dead walk, ever bound to this world by sorcery or curse. Almost all undying beings are bound into the service of Sauron, he who forged their deathless existence. By contrast, the spirit-folk of the Dwimorberg are tied to an altogether different fate. When Elendil marched against Sauron, his son, Isildur, came to the Dwimorberg and obtained an oath-sworn promise of aid against the forces of Mordor from the people that lived there. Yet when Isildur called upon the people of the mountains to fight, they scattered and fled, entombing themselves in their fortress rather than fighting in fulfilment of their promise. In rage at their betrayer, Isildur cursed them to wander the hills for all eternity until their oath was met. To this day, their oath has yet to be fulfilled...

  • Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game: Rules Manual

    The Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game is the tabletop game for 2 or more players that allows you to play through the events from The Lord of the Rings™ and The Hobbit™ with your collection of Citadel and Forge World models. Take control of your favourite heroes, villains and armies, recreate scenes from the movies and books, and gather your forces together to do battle with your opponent in a test of wits and prowess. This 208-page hardback rules manual is a comprehensive guide to the hobby of building, painting and playing games with your Middle-earth models, whether you choose the forces of Good or Evil.

    Introduction

    This section features an overview of the wider hobby of collecting, painting and playing with Middle-earth miniatures, from the very basics of choosing your army, the items you need in order to run games, setting up your battlefield and understanding the rules and profiles you’ll use in-game.

    Rules

    Here, you’ll be taken through the meat of the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game – the actual rules that you’ll use to play:

    - Basic Principles: a primer on the fundamental concepts and terms used in the book, this section briefly explains a few things that the newcomer may find daunting;
    - Turn Sequence: each turn is divided into 5 phases – Priority, which determines who acts first, Movement, which covers moving your models on the tabletop, interacting with terrain and using control zones, Shoot, which covers ranged attacks, Fight, which covers close combat, and Courage, in which your models are tested to see if they stand their ground or flee in terror;
    - Monsters: while their basic rules are typically the same as those for other models in the game, Monster models are particularly powerful – this section covers their special rules. This includes War Beasts, huge creatures ridden into battle, crushing the foe as they march on;
    - Weapons & Wargear: split into 4 subsections – close combat, missile, equipment and armour – this section explains the variety of weapons and wargear available to your models, and the impact your choices will have on your tactical decisions;
    - Magical Powers: certain models have the ability to cast magical powers, and this section explains targeting, casting and resisting those powers during the Move phase, with a list of every Magical Power available to cast;
    - Special Rules: this section collects together all the passive and active Special Rules which can appear on model profiles, compiled for easy reference;
    - Advanced Rules: found in certain Scenarios, these rules – covering water features, sentries, passengers and carrying objects – come in handy when recreating scenes from the history of Middle-earth;
    - Siege Engines: rules for fielding these immense and obvious threats, covering their movement, firing, upgrades and crew (and their ability to launch severed heads as ammunition…);
    - Sieges: throughout the history of Middle-earth, many sieges have taken place – here are the basic rules for creating your own sieges with your models.

    Narrative Play

    Narrative Play games allow you to recreate your favourite battles and scenes from both the books and the films, using your collection of Citadel and Forge World models. Each Scenario – found in The Armies of The Lord of the Rings™ and The Armies of The Hobbit™ – has a selection of special rules that balance them, providing an experience closely matching the scenes from the books and films.

    Open Play

    With no restrictions whatsoever, Open Play games have unlimited creative potential, and are perfect for beginners and veterans alike. Simply get your collections together and dream up your own scenarios – any combination of army fighting any other combination of army, on a playing field of your own devising with objectives unique to your game – the possibilities are literally endless.

    Matched Play

    In Matched Play games, you and your opponent gather your forces of heroes and warriors from your collection, up to an agreed points limit, before unleashing your armies for the fate of Middle-earth. This section includes advice on building an army to a points limit, determining the size of the games you want to play, Alliances, wargear limits, initial priority, objectives, and Heroic Tiers – the respect and loyalty that Heroes command.

    This section includes 12 Matched Play Scenarios, each providing a different tactical challenge.

  • Ogors

    The Gutbusters exist as nomadic empires of warmongering ogors. Larger and stronger than most other races of the realms, they range across the lands robbing and raiding to keep their caravans filled with victuals. They worship Gorkamorka as the Great Beast that Consumes the World, their driving ambition to devour the Mortal Realms. To the Gutbusters, everything is either food for now or food for later, and their minds are forever fixated on where their next juicy meal is coming from. Many favour bludgeoning weapons, and sometimes even blunt their blades, so as not to lose any precious blood or ruin organs when they slay their enemies, saving the tenderised meat-bags for a bit of snacking later on.

    This multi-part plastic set contains 131 components with which to build six Ogors that can be armed with a combination of clubs, blades and iron fists. Options are included for building a Crusher, an Icon Bearer and a Bellower. Supplied with 6 Citadel 40mm Round bases and 6 Citadel 25mm Round bases.

  • 2 Storey Building Under Construction

    28S-DMH-112 this is a “28Standard” 4Ground model with high detail. When a camp town started becoming more prosperous the residents would start producing town buildings, these were often frame buildings in which the timber frame was built as a shell and then the rest of the building was built in and around it. This was easiest to do in areas with large amounts of lumber (or easy access to it by railroad). Many towns would have this kind of building almost under constant construction at one location or another as the towns grew. These buildings make great terrain pieces as they can provide cover without blocking line of sight. 28mm Scale models supplied unassembled. Miniatures not included. • Eclipse

    After a ruthless war, the galaxy has been at peace because of the efforts of the major spacefaring species to preserve it. The Galactic Council was formed for that purpose. But tension is mounting again, and a new conflict seems to be inevitable. Which faction will prevail and lead the galaxy?

    Eclipse is a strategy game where you must lead your civilization to prevail over the others.  Players can choose to play as either a human or alien civilization. On each move, a player takes one of six actions: building, exploring, influencing, moving, researching or upgrading.  For example, exploring opens up a new tile in a direction chosen by the exploring player. Each action uses resources (money, materials or science), and resource management is a key part of gameplay.

    The galaxy is laid out in three rings of hex tiles, most of which get laid during exploration. At the start of play, only the galaxy center tile and tiles for the players' respective home stars are laid. When exploring, a player chooses a tileless space which is accessible from a star the player occupies. The player then draws a new hex tile from a stack of face-down tiles and lays it in the chosen direction. The player may strategically choose which orientation the tile takes, to create links to existing tiles or to block access by other players.

  • Hangman's Gallows

    28S-DMH-110 is a ‘28S’ 4Ground model kit, ‘28S’ means it is highly detailed with many pre-painted parts. The level of detail with this kit is really good the trap doors of the gallows can actually open. There are two trap doors and enough rope in the kit to make two hangman’s nooses. Each of the trap doors is held in place by a bolt action lever that can be trigged so each door can drop individually. The kit includes wooden floor area, raised gallows platform (one storey high),on top of the platform are the braced gallows with rope to tie over the gallows beam, also included is a stairway that fits alongside the gallows platform on the same wooden floor area. The wooden floor area of this kit can be fitted over a sub-base ‘A’ if required to raise this model to the boardwalk level. As a camp-town grew there was a need for more than saloons, gambling joints and whore houses they needed a post office and a bank, they wanted a freight office to ship goods of value by wagon in and out of they growing community. With all this came easy options for men to make trouble or make money from taking what was not theirs. Gamblers down on their luck and drunks looking for trouble would be jailed for a day or two to cool off, but then their were bank robbers, saloon thieves and road agents (holding up freight wagons and stage couches), sometimes these desperados would kill to get their way. A town with its own gallows prominently on display let all know what they would do with such men. Some towns would give a man a fare trial, many towns would have a show trial before they hung a man, but in more than a few the town mob ruled and hanging was seen as a good old spectator sport. A double gallows may just have meant they really liked hangings!. 28mm Scale models supplied unassembled. Miniatures not included. The image of the building you see here is the kit you get the only thing added is glue. Dead Man’s Hand buildings are a growing range of side streets, main street and feature buildings, meant for Old West Cowboy towns and Mining CampTowns of the late C19th and early C20th. This building is ideal for the Main street or ‘Main Drag’ of town. Main Street buildings were very often brightly painted (at least below the eaves of the roof line) and this is no exception even the windows and door frames as well as the porch brackets have been painted to be bright and colourful. The external doors are all hinged and can open and close at any time. Not only is the outside highly detailed, the inside walls are well detailed and white washed. The ridged roof and porch roofs all come away to help with movement of figures during in-game action. The upper storey is accessed from the external staircase that sits on the boardwalk to the side of the building. The first storey sits securely on a raised sub-floor and also included with the kit are raised boardwalks that go beside the sub-floor giving many options of alignment. Often the main street was the oldest road in town along its boardwalks were the most established businesses (very desirable realestate well worth fighting over to control). Main Street buildings ‘lots’ were often developed from single storey buildings into multi storey ‘balloon framed’ structures, some with internal staircases but often with external stairs as each storey was occupied by a different resident or trader to the one above or below. Roof ridge and head boards may have been left dull and weathered other than name signs to advertise the occupants trade or profession but usually the lower storeys were brightly painted on all sides to better help them stand out and be remembered by passing customers. Multi storey ‘balloon framed’ building like this appeared all over midwest America during the 1870’s. These timber framed buildings often with massive head boards became common place in hundreds of towns with the advent of industrial saw mills, producing standard lengths of cheap timber and delivering that timber by train then wagon to the most remote of ‘one horse towns’. Some of those towns would fail leaving only their buildings as ghosts of the towns they once were, others would grow and prosper and in time all these buildings would be replaced or faced by brick and stone facades. • Merchants & Marauders: Broadsides

    Merchants & Marauders: Broadsides is set in the 17th century in the Caribbean Sea. At the helm of your mighty vessel, revisit the golden age of piracy with Merchants & Marauders: Broadsides, a game in which you and your opponent are engaged in a deadly battle hoping to sink each other’s ship. Load your cannons, aim, and unload everything you’ve got at the enemy!

    • 14 years +
    • 2 players
    • 45 minutes playing time

    Merchants & Marauders: Broadsides is a hand management, worker placement, combat game where a hand of cards will let you either load your cannons, or aim them at your opponent's rigging, hull, or deck, among other actions of a given phase. Those other actions include reloading said cannons, engaging a broadside, and even forcing your opponent to discard some of their own cards with a Sheer Off action. All of these actions can be done by discarding combos of cards such as a pair, a straight, or a flush. You can only pick two of these per turn though, and there's no guarantee that the cards you need to aim properly will come back any time soon!

    What action you choose, and when you choose them could make or break your game at any turn.

    Fire In the Hole! Let's face it: this is a combat game and what brought you here is your ship's arsenal and what damage you can deal with it. So let's take a look at the cannons. When setting your board, 3 different cannons are at your disposal. The 18-Pounder, the Long Nine, and the Carronade. The 18-Pounder is the “standard” cannon found on fighting ships of this size. It loads 2 shot discs and has a balanced spread of Perfect, Good, and Poor results. It is the most basic of the weapons. We suggest playing with at least one of these for your first game. The Long Nine loads only a single shot disc. It cannot achieve Good shots; hits will be either Perfect or Poor. That said, with its wider range of Perfect shots, you’ll achieve perfection with it more often than with any other weapon. It’s harder to hit with and requires more frequent reloading, but when it hits, it’s usually deadly. The Carronade loads 2 shot discs. It has a very wide range of Good results (and a little strip of Poor), but cannot score a Perfect result. Very easy to hit with it, but you won’t be able to line it up for flawless attacks. The Carronade fortunately has one unique ability that allows you to overcome this problem: the Double Shot. Although, before you can fire these babies, they need to be loaded with the best shots! Again, 3 unique shots can be equiped to any canon depending on the draw and what strategy you chose.

  • Panzer IV Zug (3 Panzer IV's)

    This Warlord Games box set contains 3 plastic Panzer IV's that can be assembled as one of three Panzer IV variants.

    Whilst the propaganda headlines may well have gone to the big cats such as the Panther and the Tiger, the Panzer IV was the backbone of German armoured capability throughout the war.

    You can choose to build your Panzer IV as one of three different variants:

    • The short-barrelled Ausf. F1.
    • The long-barrelled Ausf. G with its distinctive ball muzzle brake. Respectfully known by British forces in the desert campaign as the 'Mark 4 Special' it saw action in the Western Desert and the Russian Front primarily.
    • The Ausf H with its new muzzle brake and protective schürzen side skirts. A regular sight on late war battlefields, the Ausf H is one of the iconic Panzers of the war.

    The iconic German tank of the Second World War, the Panzer IV fought from the invasion of Poland to the fall of Berlin. The Panzer IV was constantly updated, with its sound design giving it a longevity well beyond that of its contemporaries. By mid-war it was packing a deadly long-barrelled 75mm gun, giving it great hitting power and better mobility and its armour had been doubled in places greatly increasing its survivability.

    By the time of massive battles in Russia in middle of the war the Pz IV was also carrying the detachable screen side armour known as schürzen. This was in response to the threat posed by Russian anti-tank rifles and, latterly, by Allied hollow charge bazooka style weapons. This is the backbone of the Panzer regiments!

    As with the other Bolt Action plastic vehicles, this kit is highly detailed yet easy to build. It provides a rugged gaming piece and will also appeal to painters and modellers.

    The Panzer IV comes with a comprehensive waterslide decal sheet, allowing you to finish your new tank off perfectly!

  • PHR Juno A1 IFV

    The Juno infantry fighting vehicle is the primary mode of ground transport for PHR mechanised infantry. Since soldiers are always vulnerable in the open, these well armoured workhorses see a lot of frontline use.

    In line with the PHR military doctrine of flexibility, the Juno is also well armed, and able to deal with a variety of threats, depending on configuration. The A1 variant is armed with an RX-90 'Huntsman' canon, giving it flexible firepower effective against light vehicles and structures.

    Working together, a group of IFV’s can deal with most enemies on terra-firma, short of main battle tanks.

    This increased firepower comes at the cost of reduced transport capacity when compared to UCM equivalents. However, since PHR forces tend to employ small numbers of elite soldiers, a capacity of ten men is normally more than sufficient.

  • PHR Menchit Battle Walkers

    This Type-1 variant's name was derived from an Egyptian war goddess (literally; 'She Who Slaughters'). This could not have been a more apt choice, since this class is equipped with both an additional pair of RX-20 miniguns and an RX-666 flamethrower. When enemy infantry are in the Menchit's sights, a massacre is sure to follow.

    Type 1 battle walkers form the armoured spearhead of PHR armies. In various guises, they provide flexible, mobile firepower able to deal with enemy aircraft, infantry and armour. Towering nearly 20 feet in height, the Type-1 is a formidable opponent with a commanding view of the battlefield. It is well armoured, and can absorb damage which would annihilate an ordinary main battle tank. Its mobility is perhaps its greatest strength though, since it is able to traverse difficult terrain with ease.

  • PHR Siren Corps

    The PHR's elite Siren Corps operatives eschew all forms of armour, instead focusing on speed, poise, agility and precision. They normally fight with dual-wielded RXp-44 HV autosensing magnums, delivering death to multiple opponents at different quarters simultaneously, with unerring balletic grace. These effectively grant the operative an additional two sets of eyes, the information from which they must be able to process instantly and in line with their own vision.

    The potential to achieve this level of machine-mind integration seems to only come readily to women, making the Siren Corps is an exclusively female group. In addition, it must be noted that only a small number of army recruits prove gifted enough to be offered a place in this elite sisterhood. With the physical perfection achieved through cyborg modifications and intense training, their beauty is matched only by their deadly skill.

    They specialise in close quarter battle, clandestine infiltration and special operations. They are best employed in the confines of urban jungles, where their impressive skills can be best utilised. On the battlefield, they normally operate in small six woman cells. Outside the battlefield, it is not uncommon for operatives to work alone towards shadowy and often nefarious purposes. They are the peerless assassins of the Republic.

    After Jim Rogan’s murder his daughter Cathie did her best to make a go of the bar. With it’s prime location on a main street corner and a reputation for good beer, clean cards and fine whiskey, Cat managed to make some real good money. Three years after her father's death Cat had the bar extended up top with the addition of a bunk room. Rogan’s Bar and Bunkhouse is a favoured first option for many a traveller, familiar with stopping over in the town of Dead Man’s Hand for a few nights. It would seem life is good for Cat but she wouldn’t have got where she is now if she was a fool and she’s no fool; well aware there’s more than one set of covetous eyes looking to add Rogan’s Bar and Bunkhouse to their own boardwalk empire.

  • Scourge Annihilator

    The Annihilator is a towering artillery walker of titanic proportions. Armed with the awesome Plasma Bombard, the Annihilator can decimate enemy units from a longer range than almost anything else in the Scourge armoury. Annihilators are only brought to the frontline against tenacious opposition, when the Scourge wish to utterly crush all those who oppose their will.

    The Annihilator is an unusual vehicle in that it can transition to flight mode, thus dispensing with the need for a dropship. However, it cannot fire its weapon while airborne since all its power generators are required to keep its vast superstructure aloft. It is also more susceptible to crippling damage whilst airborne due to its running engines and precarious flight envelope.

    Although they are mercifully rare, a single Annihilator can force an entire opposing force to change its battle plan. It's Plasma Bombard is an energy weapon of monstrous scale and earth-shattering power. Rather than a directed burst, the Bombard delivers death to a wide area, transforming whole enemy squads to molten glass in microseconds. Prudent adversaries have already learned to disperse their tank formations to try and minimise the carnage. Adding to this tactical nightmare, the Plasma Bombard fires its weapon in a high arc, thus allowing the Annihilator to rain fire from a concealed position.

  • Scourge Despoiler Heavy Dropship

    The Despoiler is the primary mass landing craft of Scourge invasion fleets .It is instantly recognisable due to its unique vertical configuration. It is a towering monstrosity, a dreadful harbinger of doom. The arrival of a fleet of Despoilers is always the precursor to a Scourge ground incursion, and the terrible slaughter that inevitably follows.

    It carries up to nine sinister grav tanks, each one able to run rings round human vehicles, reducing them to molten wrecks. The Despoiler's charges can detach from the vehicle with lightning speed, dropping to combat altitude in seconds.

    The Despoiler is also armed with a twin plasma cannon, making it just as capable as a heavy tank at clearing dropzones of enemy vehicles.

    Unlike the dropships of other races, the Despoiler (as well as other Scourge landing craft) is strictly a one-way vehicle. Since the Scourge are utterly dedicated to invasion and usurpation, they have no need of retreat.

  • Scourge Destroyers

    Destroyers are the only remnants of a brutal and savage alien race, long since conquered by the Scourge. In much the same manner as the Razorworms, they are now bred specifically as hosts due to their prodigious power and intimidating stature. In battle, they use this strength to lug a pair of heavy weapons and to batter unfortunate enemies to a pulp! Destroyers serve the dual role of mixed fire support and room clearance, where they can clear and hold buildings with immovable and bestial force.
    Each destroyer carries a Shard Cannon, a fearsome anti-infantry weapon equivalent to a UCM heavy machinegun. Due to its heavy calibre and sheer weight of fire, the Shard Cannon can even be effective against light vehicles. As a broadly conventional firearm, the Shard Cannon is able to mow down enemy troops at a far greater range than standard issue plasma rifles. Destroyers are also armed with a miniaturised version of the Plasma Cannon, the Plasma Charger. While it is only charged for a single shot, the effect of a volley from these weapons is often devastating!

    Destroyers have been known to literally blast their way through solid walls with brute force akin to a wrecking ball. They are usually unfazed by enemy opposition and can be expected to enter a building with guns blazing, seconds before crashing through the wall!

  • Scourge Hunter Main Grav-Tanks

    The Hunter is a formidable frontline armoured unit, the Scourge's closest equivalent to a main battle tank. Unlike its more primitive counterparts, the Hunter employs an advanced Anti-Grav repulsion drive to float several feet above the battlefield. This allows it to glide towards the enemy with sinister purpose and unnerving speed.

    It is armed with a single, devastating plasma canon. This awesome weapon is capable of reducing a heavy battle tank to molten slurry in a single shot. It's only major shortcoming is its limited effective range. This makes Hunters particularly aggressive foes, as they invariably use their great speed to advance into killing range.

    The Hunter must also utilize its excellent pace to out-manoeuvre its more cumbersome rivals, since its armour is modest for a main battle tank.

  • Scourge Intruder Alpha Light Dropships

    The Intruder is the smallest and fastest of all Scourge dropships and is designed to ferry a range of lighter cargo to the battlefield. It is armed with the same deadly plasma hose as the Marauder, making a large group of Intruders a particularly dangerous foe.

    The Alpha variant carries Scourge warriors directly into the thick of the action. It is most commonly used to assail time critical objectives, where infantry can be delivered to storm buildings far quicker than through ground based APC's.

  • Scourge Invader APC's

    The Invader is the Scourge's primary armoured personnel carrier, and a common sight amidst Scourge armies. Its approach is greatly feared however, as it invariably precludes the assault of sinister Scourge infantry units. Its large front assault ramp allows its cargo to spill forth from its armoured prow, straight into the fray.

    The Invader is an unusual vehicle by Scourge standards, since it's unarmed! However, this is more than compensated for by its considerable carrying capacity - a full squad of 15 Warriors. Given the space taken up by the Anti-Grav drive, it is perhaps unsurprising that there was no room to include a weapon.

  • Scourge Marauder Medium Dropship

    The Marauder is a lighter version of the Despoiler, and is generally employed at the spearhead of landing forces, getting heavy armour to the front ahead of the main force. It is also often used to deliver smaller, specialised groups to the battlefield. Due to its small footprint, it has the advantage of being able to reach dropzones inaccessible to dropships of other races.

    It is faster than the Despoiler, although somewhat easier to destroy. Infantry have more to fear from the Marauder however, since it is armed with the sinister plasma hose, which rains superheated death from on high, turning men to ash in microseconds. Despite its short range, this weapon can also be employed against defenceless ground vehicles, making the Marauder more effective at missions requiring close air support. In line with Scourge tactics, the Marauder uses its high speed to reach the enemy in an alarmingly short time, and to bring its weapon into range.

  • Scourge Minder Swarm

    The Minder is a tiny aerial craft, although it is still exceedingly hazardous to approach. It is atypical of most Scourge units since it fulfils a purely defensive role. Armed with a small version of the deadly Arc Caster, the Minder exists solely to cover invasion armadas from air attack.

    Clouds of Minders are often deployed ahead of a major landing, providing excellent protection for dropships against roving fighters before they make planetfall. Since the Arc Caster can only effectively target isolated units, the Minder is almost useless for engaging ground units.

    The Minder is rather slow for an aircraft, since the vast majority of its power is required to feed the Arc Caster and to keep it aloft. Its miniature engines are normally only used for local relocation manoeuvres. Unlike most other fliers, it usually reaches its destination in good time via dropship insertion.

    When successfully positioned early enough, a sufficiently large swarm of Minders is able to grant the Scourge total air superiority where needed. This allows ground units to conduct their sinister work with impunity.

  • Scourge Prowler Pack

    The Prowler is a tiny four legged walker, the like of which is not seen in the employ of any other race. Indeed, its modus-operandi is unique and wholly symptomatic of Scourge military tactics.

    It is armed with a sinister variant of the Plasma Hose, the Plasma Proboscis. This devious weapon can either spew plasma in a wide pattern, or be utilised in an anti-armour role. Here, the Prowler pounces on an enemy tank, and injects molten plasma directly into the vehicle's crew compartment, atomising all those unfortunate enough to still be inside. The sight of a large pack of Prowlers skittering forwards has often been enough to make terrified crews abandon their vehicles rather than be roasted alive in an armoured coffin.

    The Prowler also serves as a scout unit due to its small form and excellent mobility which allows it to evade detection. As a walker, it can also remain dormant for days if necessary, since it does not unitise Anti-Grav drives. This attribute makes it an excellent ambush predator.

    Amongst resistance fighters, the silhouette of the Prowler is identified with Scourge oppression, since vast numbers of them patrol the deserted sectors of once glorious human cities. The only glimmer of hope they possess is that with its light armour, the Prowler is vulnerable to heavy calibre small arms fire.

  • Scourge Razorworms

    The Razorworm is a merciless predator, a terror of dark places and a living nightmare in chitin, flesh and claws. As a particularly virulent life form, the Scourge maintains breeding stock of these voracious aliens for use as hosts.

    Scourge controlled Razorworms lose none of their incredible killing power, but gain a calculating and merciless intelligence unnatural to the host. This makes them excellent room clearance specialists. The ominous sound of the Razorworm's many wickedly sharp claws scraping along an overhead ventilation duct is often the last thing many get to hear, save the sound of their own screams.

  • Scourge Reaper AA Grav-Tanks

    The Reaper is a dedicated anti-air unit. It is built around the unique Arc Caster, possibly the most highly specialised of all AA weapons encountered by humanity. Its great accuracy is achieved as the weapon's beam automatically latches onto isolated targets. These same properties make it virtually useless against ground units, where the beam all too easily targets inanimate terrain rather than the intended victim.

    The Reaper uses the Hunter's chassis and drive, and as such shares its blistering combat speed. This allows to actively hunt slower enemy fliers in a way that few other ground vehicles can match. This is just as well, since the Arc Caster has a very limited range.

  • Scourge Slayer Heavy Grav-Tanks

    The Slayer is the Scourge's premier heavy tank equivalent, an offensive powerhouse of matchless anti-armour firepower. Armed with a pair of lethal plasma cannons, vehicle kills are virtually assured. Although somewhat slower than the Hunter, it is still more than capable of running rings round the armoured units of more primitive races.

    Aside from simply being a heavier version of the Hunter, the Slayer also has another, no less frightening trick up its sleeve. Inside its armoured bowels is a set of habi-tubes, able to cage a trio of lethal Razorworms. The Slayer uses these predatory Scourge hosts as living weapons, releasing them near occupied buildings, where they then root out and eviscerate stubbornly dug in enemy troops.

  • Scourge Stalkers

    This Dropzone Commander The Scourge Stalkers pack contains three resin Scourge Stalker miniatures. All miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly.

    The Stalker is a highly aggressive frontline tank hunter unit, designed to deliver crippling damage to the heaviest armoured units at close range using its frighteningly powerful electroweb caster. This weapon projects a pair of wickedly sharp darts, followed by a wire filament through which a cataclysmic electric charge is passed. This awesome power fries the electronics, core systems and living bodies inside the unfortunate target, leaving a stench of vitrified internals and seared flesh in its wake.

    The Stalker fulfills a role broadly similar to the smaller Prowler, although the Stalker is more suited to direct, frontline assaults where its much heavier armour lends it greater survivability. Indeed, it is clad in some of the heaviest armour available to any Scourge general, providing an unsubtle line breaker for situations where finesse is likely to fail.

  • Scourge Tormentor Heavy Grav-Tanks

    In most respects, the Tormentor is similar to the Slayer. It shares the same chassis, as well as its ability to carry a trio of deadly Razorworms into battle.

    Possibly even more terrifying than its predatory cargo is its repulsive weapon system. The shocking acid streamer spurts an appallingly noxious substance, which can degenerate biological matter to mire in microseconds. This is disgorged from a flexible trunk, allowing the substance to be injected into buildings, where it quickly sublimes into a lethal gas. In this way, it is able to root out infantry from the very depths of structures, meaning that there is no place to hide from its horror. It is probably more feared by the humble infantryman than any other weapon.

  • Scourge Warriors

    Warriors are the frontline foot soldiers of the Scourge - unfortunate puppets who must endure a lifetime of neuro-suppression and vice like control as a Scourge host. As the Scourge ages, it's grip starts to slip, revealing the mind of the host, tortured into insanity after decades and sometimes centuries of mental oppression. These 'Aged Ones' are particularly bloodthirsty, if uncoordinated.

    The majority of Scourge Warriors encountered in the 27th century are former humans, once free occupants of mankind's glittering cities. However, it's not unheard of to find reports of outlandish warriors, clearly remnants of past Scourge conquests.

    Scourge Warriors are armed with the lethal Plasma Rifle, a weapon which can vaporise a man from the inside out. As the projectile's containment field fails, it releases molten plasma into the heart of the body. Focused fire from these high energy weapons can even be a threat to armoured units.

  • Shadows of Brimstone: Cavern Of Cynder Expansion

    Shadows of Brimstone: Cavern Of Cynder Expansion is a hostile Alien World, deep underground and overflowing with lakes of molten magma! There is some alien architecture such as pathways and ductwork to funnel the lava in practical and ceremonial ways. In the Caverns, Dark Stone is melted into the magma itself and can be found in liquid form! This has led some industrious explorers, both human and otherwise, to set up mining equipment in an attempt to siphon it out of the rock itself. Of course the Heroes must always beware of the foul creatures lurking the corridors as well as those that will rise up out of the molten rock itself to attack — not to mention the constant threat of eruptions and rising lava pools at your feet!

    Shadows of Brimstone: Caverns of Cynder Expansion offers a new Otherworld for players to explore, with a set of 18 new double-sided map tiles. There are new Encounter cards, artifacts, Otherworld threats, and map cards, as well as three of the new lava men Enemy.

    Cynder Tiles include a mechanism in which you can take damage if you pass over certain fiery spaces. If you have a high Agility you get to roll two dice, so swift and nimble characters are less likely to burn. Cynder also has mechanisms in which Clothing items make you susceptible to heat exhaustion and burning, so there's some interesting decisions to be made about how many items to keep equipped from turn to turn.

  • Shaltari Coyote Warstrider

    The Coyote is the premier mount for Shaltari Warchiefs, officers and heroes. Sharing many characteristics of its cousin the Jaguar, the Coyote foregoes the former's anti-air capability in favour of a command module. This gives the commander excellent visibility and a high powered communications suite.

    The command module also has the ability to eject from the main body of the Warstrider, should catastrophic damage be sustained. When it does so, a small set of lift vanes deploy, allowing the module to escape to safety. The Coyote also features the most powerful energy shielding so far seen on any Shaltari vehicle. Such technology is typical of the Shaltari, who value knowledge and experience above almost anything else.

    Despite its role as grand chariot for the Shaltari's leaders, the Coyote is more than capable of defending itself. Indeed, it matches the Jaguar's excellent anti-armour capabilities. It takes multiple main battle tanks to tackle a Coyote.

  • Shaltari Dreamsnare

    The Dreamsnare is a specialist Warstrider variant which carries an energy shield boosting relay device, improving the effectiveness of passive countermeasures on all nearby Shaltari units. This makes it an excellent support unit for the nucleus of any Shaltari Warhost. Tactically adept Shaltari Warchiefs can use modest numbers of Dreamsnares to maximum effect by rapidly relocating them to flashpoints where the fighting is fiercest.

    The Dreamsnare also armed with a pair of twin, long-barrelled Microwave Cannons (an arrangement known as the Dragon Canon), giving it exceptional anti-infantry firepower. This supports Warstrider groups effectively, since Jaguars, Ocelots and Coyotes do not carry specialised anti-infantry weapons. The Dreamsnare can also concentrate all four of these formidable weapons onto a single target, delivering such energy that it can boil crews inside armoured vehicles, obliterate electronics and fuse moving parts into lumps of inanimate matter. This gives it powerful (albeit short ranged) anti-armour firepower.

  • Shaltari Firedrake

    The Firedrake is a large and lethal gunship which carries the exotic Spatial Disruption Cannon as its primary armament, providing powerful air-ground fire support. This eldritch weapon becomes increasingly dangerous as the Firedrake closes distance with its victims.

    The Spatial Disruption Cannon projects an region of unstable dimensionality ahead of the muzzle, inducing a range of unpredictable (but invariably deadly!) contortion and warping effects on anything caught in the maelstrom. Its effects are utterly unique, frequently horrific and occasionally darkly comic to observe. Bizarrely twisted vehicle hulls, stretched objects and shredded corpses are always to be found in the Firedrake's wake. Indeed, the effect of such a weapon on organic matter is best left up to the imagination! With a finite power output in relation to range, the closer the Firedrake is to its target, the wider the area of effect can be. The Firedrake also carries a tail mounted twin, long-barrelled Microwave (Dragon) Cannon for additional anti-infantry firepower. Hastily issued UCM command directives have been distributed to frontline units advising the early destruction of these aerial terrors.

    The Firedrake also features an auxiliary Gate system, equivalent to the Eden Medium Gate in power output. This allows the Firedrake to bring in its own ground support when needed and makes it a true multi-role unit. However, since this system is auxiliary and has massive power requirements, it is impossible for the Firedrake to fire its weapons while the Gate system is in use.

  • Shaltari Firstborns

    The Firstborns are unusual amongst the Shaltari, since their spirit still inhabits the original body they were born with. Even as adults, these individuals are impetuous and fiery in the eyes of older Shaltari. Their enthusiasm, bloodlust and recklessness has yet to be dimed by the trials of living many lifetimes in a dangerous universe.

    Keen to prove themselves both in bravery and in deeds, many of these young Shaltari join the Firstborns, an elite cadre of close combat troops. In Shaltari society, there are few better ways of proving one's bravery in martial terms. Also, their natural aggression and potency serves them well in the crucible of room to room combat, where Firstborns are noted for their savagery and bloodlust.

    Equipped with a similar model of Warsuit to ordinary Braves, the Firstborns can overcome their physical limitations to become 8 foot tall towering avatars of destruction. They are armed with Shaltari energy swords, a weapon linked with honour and martial prowess. It's almost unheard of to see swords actually used in combat anywhere else in the 27th century. The Firstborns make these apparently archaic weapons particularly deadly in room clearance in conjunction with the Wave Pistol, a handheld version of the Microwave gun. This can utterly incapacitate a biological target into an agonized wreck, allowing its user to advance and deliver the coup de grâce with the Energy Sword.

  • Shaltari Haven Terragates

    The Haven utilises the same Gate technology featured in Shaltari dropship equivalents, but on the frame of a ground vehicle. As such, the Haven roughly equates to the APC's used by other races.

    Like its airborne cousin the Spirit, the Haven features fine teleport node focusing capabilities. These allow precise adjustments of the field and thus the ability to teleport warsuit-clad Shaltari infantry onto the battlefield. Larger Gates cannot do this, since they are designed for power rather than precision.

    Since it hovers only a few feet from the ground weight is less of an issue, and thus the Haven features better armour and resilience than its airborne cousins. It is therefore the transport of choice for getting infantry into areas with extensive air defence.

    The Tomahawk is the mainstay of the Shaltari frontline and their closest equivalent to a battle tank. Unlike these crude behemoths however, the Tomahawk cruises a few feet above the battlefield, giving it awesome speed and manoeuvrability for such a powerful vehicle. Its shape and configuration is unique to the shaltari, and instantly recognisable.

    It is armed with a single Gauss Cannon, a far more advanced development of the railgun technology commonly seen on human vehicles. Its impact on the battlefield is similarly devastating, although the gauss cannon is far more efficient, allowing its use on gravi-tanks.

    The Tomahawk mainly fulfils an anti-tank role, where this formidable weapon is best utilised. However, its greatest asset is its awesome speed. This allows the Tomahawk to run rings round primitive human vehicles and only finds a match in the form of Scourge grav-tanks.

    Like all Shaltari vehicles, the Tomahawk features an advanced, all encompassing energy shield giving it a measure of protection against projectiles of all velocities and even directed energy weapons. This is just as well, since the Tomahawk features very light armour for a tank.

  • Small 2 Storey Building Under Construction

    28S-DMH-116 this is a “28Standard” 4Ground model with high detail.

    This building fits on to sub-base A. 28mm

  • T-1000

    T-1000 infiltrators are made of mimetic polyalloy – liquid metal. This allows them to change their shape at will, from imitating any human they have come into contact with, as well as any item of equivalent mass. As well as being extremely strong, they can form stabbing and cutting parts out of their limbs, becoming a lethal close quarter fighter. Their most remarkable trait however is their uncanny resilience – destroying a T-1000 is almost impossible. The Resistance is going to need some bigger guns.

  • Twilight Struggle (Deluxe Edition)

    In 1945, unlikely allies toppled Hitler's war machine, while humanity's most devastating weapons forced the Japanese Empire to its knees in a storm of fire. Where once there stood many great powers, there now stood only two – the United States and the Soviet Union. The world had scant months to collectively sigh in relief before a new conflict threatened. Unlike the titanic struggles of the preceding decades, this conflict would be waged not primarily by soldiers and tanks, but by spies and politicians, scientists and intellectuals, artists and traitors. Twilight Struggle is a two-player game simulating the 45 year dance of intrigue, prestige, and occasional flares of warfare between the USSR and the USA. The entire world is the stage on which these two titans fight. The game begins amidst the ruins of Europe as the two new superpowers scramble over the wreckage of WWII and ends in 1989, when only the United States remained standing.

    Twilight Struggle inherits its fundamental systems from the card-driven classics We the People and Hannibal. It is a quick-playing, low-complexity game in that same tradition. The game map is a world map of the period, whereon players move units and exert influence in attempts to gain allies and control for their superpower.

    Twilight Struggle's Event cards add detail and flavor to the game. They cover a vast array of historical happenings: the Arab-Israeli conflicts, Vietnam, the peace movement, the Cuban Missile Crisis, and other such incidents that brought the world to the brink of nuclear annihilation. Subsystems capture the prestige-laden Space Race as well as nuclear tensions, with the possibility of game-ending nuclear war. Can you, as the U.S. President or Soviet Premier, lead your nation to victory? Play Twilight Struggle and find out.

    This deluxe edition includes the following changes from the basic game:

    • Mounted map with revised graphics
    • Two double-thick counter sheets with 260 counters
    • Deck of 110 event cards (increased from 103)

  • UCM Bear APC's

    The eight-wheeled Bear armoured personnel carrier is the premier transport for UCM mechanised infantry. Its armoured hide provides protection for up to 15 Colonial Legionnaires and gives them a faster time-to-target speed. A pair of these behemoths has enough capacity to carry an entire platoon into the thick of the action.

    The Bear is often employed where resistance is likely to be fierce, and has been proven to significantly reduce overall casualties. It is commonly employed against defences with extensive anti-air protection that prohibit the use of lightly armoured dropships near the frontline.

    In keeping with UCM military doctrine, the Bear is designed for the sole purpose of infantry transport, which precludes the use of heavy weapons systems. However, the Bear does feature a twin UM-5 'Vendetta' machinegun, more commonly found on AASC aircraft. This allows it to provide fire support against enemy infantry formations.

  • UCM Colonial Legionnaires

    The Colonial Legions make up the majority of the UCMA’s vast manpower and almost all of its fighting soldiers. The average Colonial Legionnaire is reasonably well trained and equipped with basic but well proven kit.

    These brave men and women form the beating heart of the UCMA and must face untold horrors in the name of humanity, armed only with a rifle, pistol and bayonet. What they lack in advanced equipment they make up for in determination, courage, and above all, numbers.

    Each legion is a gargantuan formation at over a million fighting men strong; however, deployment un-mass does not normally occur. The UCM sells the lives of its soldiers dearly and as such they are usually mechanised and deployed at platoon level. This provides them with the protection, speed, and tactical flexibility necessary to prevail in fast-paced warfare.

  • UCM Rapier AA Tanks

    The Rapier utilises the Sabre-type hull to mount a fearsome UM-28 'Vindicator' Gatling cannon on a similar folding turret armature. This makes the Rapier an excellent anti-air unit, where the rapid traverse of its turret system can track fast moving aircraft with ease, while sending a hail of shells towards its target.

    The vast reserves of ammunition required to feed the Vindicator are stored inside the hull and fed to the weapon via a complex internal path. The Rapier utilises a far more modest power generator than the Sabre, freeing space for this purpose, since the UM-28 has minimal power requirements.

    The Rapier can also turn the Vindicator on massed infantry formations firing in 'wide burst' mode, causing unbelievable carnage. This is achieved by rapid, tiny movements in the weapon armature, intentionally reducing accuracy but causing widespread devastation downrange.
